My family and I are glad to leave another 5 star review for Emmick's Family Funeral Home. My mother recently passed, and while she was going through comfort care, my family and I were reaching out to various funeral homes since the hospital indicated that they can only hold onto the body for no more than 6 hours. I eventually chose Emmick because it's local and family run, they didn't try to ups3ll and make me feel like I was at a car dealership, and because of the reviews I've read. Michael helped us at every step of the process, and provided us with options that worked for us. Sure, as a business, they would love it if we chose the most expensive options, but we were never pressed to do so. I joined PMA as an idealistic young person who didn't want to be part of the death "industry". I didn't really think about actually using it. When my partner died it was the first place I called, and the last, because they immediately took care of everything. Not to sell me something but because that is their purpose. Sure, their prices are the lowest, but it how they guide you through the business of it all with total compassion that is priceless.

Lou and Amy had been wonderful to work with. While my family and I are going through our most difficult time with the passing of our daughter. They were very professional and made our experience wonderful. I highly recommend this team!

Rae was helpful, sympathetic, and took charge in a situation where we had no idea what to do. She guided through everything and even attended the funeral at Tahoma National Cemetery. Our family's interaction with Forest Lawn in West Seattle started some time ago. Our mother passed peacefully in May 2022; then time to make arrangements. Dad, also 92, tasked himself, with his four kids in support, in making those arrangements. Both Mom & Dad were more recent transplants to Washington - to be near their kids - and their kids - and their kids. Firmly rooted in Catholic tradition and his own family history, but with empathetic responses from Forest Lawn and evolving doctrine, Dad selected cremation, and a spot with a great view at an outdoor rose garden and columbarium. Then Dad's time came in June 2024, and responsibility fell to us - their children. With Forest Lawn's continued dignified & empathetic counsel, we gathered the extended family, (a bit later in August 2025) shared stories and photos and placed letters to Dad & Mom. I had the pleasure talking to a gentleman that was working on the irrigation system this morning on the Meridian side I wanted to give him a shout out for his time .

Laura was a terrific tour guide through the inner workings of such an admirable organization and service - Recompose. Laura had a very natural ease with the presentation and was very present with all of us in the group. The tour itself was excellent - just enough time in the different spaces of the facility and the quietude to get a real feeling for the intention of Recompose. I'd recommend this tour to anyone who is even just a little curious about options at the end of life. Recompose already stands out and this tour only confirmed that through a personal approach and a sensory feel for the place.
