One hopes they never will need the last minute assistance from a funeral home. I called Spencer Funeral home at 8:30pm when my sister passed away. I was 1700 miles away from my home and had no one to turn to but Bill was so compassionate and gentle with his words, I no longer felt alone. He guided me through what the process of moving her from the hospital to the funeral home. His gentle guidance and caring manor made all the difference in the world to me. Thank you Bill!
Will did a phenomenal job helping us bury my aunt. I'm in California and it was a very hard process to navigate with a 3-hour time difference and her being in Boston. Will took care of everything and made the process so much easier. I recommend this funeral home to anybody It was no fluff no problems. I called him I told him what was going on and he handled everything made sure she got a nice funeral a nice casket and even helped with all the paperwork and everything needed because she was a veteran. I really appreciate this funeral home and I recommend them locally and if you're out of town trying to deal with your situation with your loved one.
My mother recently passed in October of last year very unexpectedly. William and Terry Spencer along with their son, Billy, handled my mom's services with grace, empathy, and kindness. From beginning to end. My mom was picked up from the hospital by the Spencer family following her passing, Mr. Spencer published the obituary, she was dressed so beautifully for the viewing, a priest was made available, where to go for flowers, and the best service my family and I could have asked for. There are really not enough words to express the gratitude that I continue to have for Mr. Spencer and his family. We always remember how people make us feel and I experienced several emotions during this process and felt so supported by the whole Spencer Family. I can not thank you enough for helping us plan our mother's service. It could not have gone any better than it did. Thank you <3

Casper Funeral & Cremation Services were a great help when we experienced the loss of our mother. I live out of state and they were very helpful and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend their services.
My father, Eric Daniel Berard Sr. Passed on 1/11/2026. My father and I didnt have the best of means to provide him more than cremation. At the surprise of his passing Casper was the single only company that didnt try to screw me and take advantage of the grief. For $1400, they did everything they said they would in their package. Ive experienced zero extra fees, and Ive appreciated their patience and work with me throughout this process. Thank you Casper, for caring and not gouging me.
The staff at Casper were very helpful and respectful in navigating something I had no idea where to begin. I spoke with Colton the first time and a couple other times during questions i had. This staff made dealing with this so much easier during a very difficult time. They helped make the process of paperwork and anything that needed to be done as easy as possible. Thank you to all the staff at Casper for your assistance with the loss of my mom. Your empathy and ease of which you made things was extremely helpful and appreciated.

J.S. Waterman Langone was recommended to me from a family member as I am out of state and have limited knowledge and resources in the Boston area. I connected with Peter Bruno on Sunday morning and after talking with him, I did not even call other funeral homes. Peter was knowledgeable, honest, compassionate and helped to make the process as simple as possible. Peter communicated via text and email with my sister and me every step of the way, so there were no surprises or feelings of uncertainty. Peter went above and beyond every step of the way whether it was texting at 10:00PM with questions for us or answers to our questions to securing the death certificate- Peter handled it all with compassion, professionalism and grace. I highly recommend J.S. Waterman Langone Chapel in Boston and am so grateful for the ease provided during an emotional and difficult time.
I cannot say enough about Melodie and Dino at Waterman-Langones. They were both so compassionate and helpful. I was somewhat overwhelmed with the sudden death of my cousin and they were by my side the whole time. Thank you both for making a difficult time so much easier.
Waterman's was extremely proffesional and caring during our difficult time. They were extremely helpful and were able to meet or exceed all of our needs.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cuffe McGinn funeral home. Eric, Niki, and the entire staff were so thoughtful and kind! My Aunt had passed last summer and they helped us navigate the process of her services and burial. We were obviously grieving and overwhelmed but they helped us through every obstacle. Her life insurance company was not very cooperative but Eric and Niki stood by us were very understanding and patient. I would wholeheartedly recommend Cuffe McGinn!

I can not say enough good things about O'Brien's. We had services there a couple of weeks ago for my father and they made it as easy as possible for my family. They prepared everything beautifully, checked on us multiple times through the night to make sure we were doing ok and to see if we needed anything, and overall did a phenomenal job. Mitch went above and beyond and made this time much less stressful for us. We have been to many services here and every time they have gone smoothly and were beautiful. Thank you all so much. I wish I could give a higher rating!
Extremely professional and compassionate. They went out of their way to make the experience as good as possible. We've used them twice in two years, service was excellent both times.
Five star all the way
