From the initial phone call, to the final service, R.M. Ferguson was nothing short of amazing. I called several funeral homes, and Rumeal was the only one that extended sincere condolences. Fortunately my family is not well versed in funeral planning thus we needed a lot of guidance. This was a very difficult time for my family as we lost our father unexpectedly but R.M. Ferguson made the experience so seamless. I know a time will come when we will need additional services and I have no doubt Ill be calling them again. Rumeal - thank you! For everything

My dad had Alzheimers , and I knew the time was coming so I went to check out funeral homes. I thought I had chosen the right one and something told me try one more . I walked into R M Ferguson and I knew right away!!! This was the place!! Everyone was so helpful and just felt like family! I had a quote and was able to rest easy . Monday Dec 15th my dad passed and when I tell you that it was beautiful, so professional ! My mom was so happy how it turned out.. she said when its her time this is where she wants it done!! Thank you!!!!

I have been absolutely astounded at the kindness and professionalism of City of Oaks. They have made the hardest time of my life - losing my father - so much easier with regard to everything that comes after. My father passed in home hospice, and the gentlemen who came to retrieve his body in the wee hours of the morning were dressed in suits and consummate professionals. They offered sincere condolences and were caring and efficient while still allowing me and my family all the time we needed to let go. They handled his body with respect and care and I am eternally grateful for the peace they brought to this part of the process. Our situation was unique because my father chose to donate his body to medical education and research at Duke. City of Oaks coordinated everything for me and the entire process was smooth and efficient. Wendy was wonderful and the services we received when our father passed away in December of 2025 were compassionate, supportive, fast and efficient. They exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend to friends and family.

I set up an appointment with Mrs. Chapelle to go over my Preneed arrangements and from the time I met her until the time I left she and her staff were very warm and attentive to every want and need I had. I saw something so different that I'd not seen in other funeral homes I'd visited to began the planning process and that was her genuine heart for what she does, she's not just out for the money. My experience with the Chapelle family is a sure testament of of the services to come in my time of need.

Very professional, yet thoughtful and respectfully communicative. Was pleased with how they accommodated my brothers Buddhist philosophy for a chanting service during the time of cremation. The Society did a wonderful job with my mother in 2023 and they were my first and only call for help with my brother here in 2026. Thanks!

My husband and I purchased our future cremation plans with Cremation Society of the Carolinas years ago, so it wouldn't be an issue for the family to deal with later. My husband passed in January 2026, and the process couldn't have gone any easier, with the staff being so compassionate and helpful. I was truly blessed when I chose Lea's Funeral Home, Nathan made the hardest decisions I had to make for my son  work. Very understanding, patient with me, communication he really was on top of everything. My baby really had the best home going service. We used Renaissance for both my Mom in 2009 and Dad in 2026. Both times, we couldn't have asked for a better group to help during this difficult time. Amie and the staff were so understanding and available. They helped us through such a hard time. I highly recommend them.

We contacted Renaissance when my father entered Hospice. We received information regarding their services and their staff was always on hand to answer all our questions. When the undertakers came, he was taken respectfully and with dignity. We had the chance to say goodbye properly. Keri worked closely with us through the final steps of visitation and cremation and helped us through the process with ease.

This is a really efficient operation in every respect. Our funeral director Keri was amazing to work with. I am so grateful that our difficult time was made a little less hard working with this facility.

Carlton Gray was amazing for my father home going service. He looked just like themself. Hair cut and make up was perfect I wouldnt change a thing. Mr. K gave my mom his coat while we were at the cemetery because she was cold. They did everything she asked. We recently used Carlton Gray for my moms wake and funeral, and they did a truly exceptional job from start to finish. The entire team was professional, compassionate, and incredibly well-organized. They executed both the wake and funeral services beautifully, even with the wake being an hour and a half away. Their support brought comfort during an incredibly hard time. They also provided a wonderful recommendation for the person who designed our funeral programs (Just For U Custom Funeral Programs), which turned out perfectly. Representative was helpful. Not many choices as to selection of Jewish cemeteries in Raleigh. Don't purchase the vault through them. Mark up was 33% compared to Endswell Funeral Home. Mitchell Funeral home (part of Dignity) was over $5000 more expensive than Endswell.

We worked with Michelle who was very knowledgeable and showed us options and kept us informed. She took time with us; we never felt rushed in making decisions. My family and I were shown kindness and compassion every step in the process.
