My sister-in-law Terry Lanning was beautiful. Before we knew it she was gone but not forgotten Thank you Asheville alternative you did an amazing job.Highly recommend.
Our family has had the misfortune of using the services of Asheville Area Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services twice in less than three months. From the first contact we found staff to be very responsive, available and concerned. I've never had to make any kind of funeral arrangements before and no matter which staff member I had to deal with, each was courteous, kind and polite and answered all of our questions, but they were incredibly accommodating, kind and patient with the natural burial of my husband, who died suddenly. Family that had not seen his body was given an appointment and allowed to wash and dress his body. Carl, the funeral director helped the family every step of the way, explained everything to us and followed up with us the next day to make sure we had found a bagpiper for the funeral services. The staff on hand for the funeral services were also very kind and helpful, making sure family members who wanted to help lower the casket into the ground we
Excellent staff and service, well organized. A pleasure to work with, especially when difficult circumstances. I highly recommend.

Wonderful people. Couldnt ask for anyone to be more caring and understanding of our needs. Thank you so much
Groce Funeral Home has served our family in times of great sorrow. Our family was guided throughout the process personally by Mr. Dale Groce for the funerals for our mother in July of 2013 and our father in February of 2024. The care and guidance from Mr. Groce and the entire staff with Groce Funeral Home was impeccable. The attention to details for every step from visitation to funeral to graveside helped us to ensure we followed their final wishes to the best of our ability and within our financial abilities. The compassion shown to each and every family member while making the final decisions during such an emotional time for our family was beyond what we expected and so appreciated by everyone. The followup after the funerals and burials to help us with the paperwork we needed for other documentation was definitely an assistance we did not expect, but it was given with the same high level professionalism and quality personal service as when we were planning the funerals. We're so g
