I was just giving a list from the hospice and I just went with the first one on the list. From the moment they came and picked up my loved one with kindness and respect, and our meeting with them today to make arrangements I have been so impressed. They have made me feel comfortable with my decisions I know that they will take care of my loved one respectfully.

After the death of our loved one, we didn't know what funeral home to choose. I saw this one and decided to give them a call. The ladies who I spoke to were so kind and answered all my questions. We met with Leon and he was great! Very kind and compassionate. He thoroughly explained everything and was happy to answer our questions! Highly recommend!

Jordan was incredibly helpful in getting my father's remains transferred to their care. Thankfully so since using assurance cremation saved us $2500 as compared to the other companies around us. Jordan is a very kind man who takes good care of his clients offering each and every family time to grieve and help during difficult times. He makes himself available at the drop of a hat to ensure everyone is taken care of. Although it does seem that Jordan himself takes on to much work at one time. I hope that in the future he is able to hire more help to assist him with the many clients I am sure he has on a daily bases. Regardless of how busy Jordan is and being pulled in so many directions each day I am grateful for his help and kindness. Charter Funerals was truly wonderful to work with during an incredibly difficult time. From our first meeting with Taylor - who was kind, patient, and easy to talk to - to the day of the service when Brent helped guide us through everything with compassion and calm, we felt very supported. We also appreciated the staff who helped with the life review slideshow and the chauffeur who took us to the graveside service. Every interaction felt respectful and caring. While we had the ability to prepay and prearrange many details in advance (which helped ease some of the stress), we found Charter's pricing to be very fair compared to other local funeral homes. Not the cheapest, but certainly not the most expensive - and the service we received was absolutely worth it. We are deeply thankful for how smooth and comforting they made the process, and would absolutely recommend Charter Funerals to anyone in the need of funeral services.

My sons life was violently taken at the age of 27. As you can imagine, this was an incredibly difficult time for our family. When I contacted Serenity Funeral Home, I was connected with Funeral Director Ryan Strickland Sr., and from the beginning, I felt at ease. What I appreciated most about Ryan was his calm confidence. We only ended up at McGilley and Sheil because the other funeral home couldn't accommodate us and wasn't willing to do anything to help us out. So, we came here and Nichole was instantly ready to help us in any way that she could. Very understanding and accommodating throughout the process. When you lose a family member, you greatly appreciate the funeral home simplifying the process and taking that worry off of your hands. Nichole did exactly that and we had a beautiful service. Close to 120 people came for the service and M&S handled it very well. Highly recommended.

Several years ago I researched cremation as an alternative to the traditional funeral/burial ritual which I knew was not the exit strategy appropriate for me. We cannot say enough about the professionalism of Louis Memorial and Steve Reiter. This job is not the easiest to do. They are always dealing with grieving families. Steve came in at a time of need and made sure we didn't have to do anything. This unexpected situation was one we never wish upon anyone else. Having Steve there lifted a big weight off of us. He traveled to different places making sure everything went accordingly. He went to the hospital and he came to us at home. He showed compassion as well as friendship. Steve treated us like family. I found myself with very limited information about my parent that passed recently. I contacted Louis Memorial to see if they might have any records of any plans that had been arranged several (or many) years ago. I was very lost and didn't know where to begin. A very kind lady found some helpful information that got me in the right direction. I can honestly say that if the compassion this young lady showed me reflects the entire staff, there is every guarantee that I can give, you and your family will be cared for and receive anything you might need during the saddest of times. They were friendly and professional. He explained things well and made sure I didn't have questions. They were able to get me exactly what I wanted. He helped me get a payment plan I could afford.

The funeral advisor was excellent. Very clear process. Very good service. No pressure sales except for comments that prices could go up if we wait a few weeks to make final decisions. My only criticism is the price. Clearly middle class people wont be able to afford respectable burials in the future.

I would like to thank Mrs. Jackie from the Lee's Summit office for helping my family in our time of need with our arrangements and she was willing to come to the blue ridge office to help my family because it was closer. We left there feeling like she was apart of our family. I would definitely use Floral Hill again if or when the time comes.

In Loving Memory of George Kim October 6, 2025 Losing my first dog, George, was one of the most heartbreaking experiences of my life. If it werent for Angie and Karen at Trusted Journey, I would have been a complete mess. From the start, they showed me empathy and understanding that I didnt receive elsewhere. Unfortunately, the front desk receptionist at my vets office wasnt properly trained to explain what options were available after my dogs passing. I had no idea I could choose something other than the standard urn I received. It wasnt until Trusted Journey and one of Dr. Hoyts vet techs, who had also recently lost her corgi, explained the process that I learned I could have Georges ashes sealed and transferred into an urn of my choice. I was already deeply traumatized by the sudden loss of my sweet little boy, so I wasnt prepared for the confusion that followed. Thats where Angie and Karen came in. They guided me through every step with such kindness and patience. Angi

For obvious reasons, I'm not really in the state of mind to be leaving reviews on the internet, but in a situation like this, I know it helps people in this position to know who they're dealing with. Meeting Kyle at this location was extremely good for people like me, who lost a family member and a best friend, at the same time. He's a great guy who genuinely cares about what we're going through, and makes this process much more easy and tolerable. He's been through it himself and is extremely empathetic. I did a private cremation, and it went exactly as he explained. Just needed to see the little guy through to the very end, and by human standards, I'm not sure there's a better place to do it. He handled all aspects of the process himself, all the way down to assembling the urn box so I didn't have to do it. If you're in this situation, I highly recommend seeking his assistance.
