This is the best place to say goodbye to the loved ones you have lost. I've said goodbye to quite a few beloved family members through the years and always from Ross's. Mike has been kind and respectful of the family's wishes and makes the decision process as comfortable as possible during that difficult time. Thank you O
I've known Michael for a long time and am not only glad to consider him a colleague, but a great friend as well. As a funeral service professional myself, when my family needs taken care of, I want someone with the same morals and ethics as me to care for them. That alone is why I would recommend Ross Funeral Home. Mike is a stand up guy - plain and simple. He provides great service, has immaculate attention to detail, and is fair with everyone - no matter your finances, race, or religion. He genuinely cares about the people that call him for service, and wouldn't ever dare be pushy or try to sell you something you didn't want, or couldn't afford. Do yourself a favor. When you need compassion and caring at one of the hardest times of your life, turn to Michael as Ross Funeral Home.
My mom side of the family uses this funeral home they are amazing and caring and loving and very supportive of the family and friends the pass through there. And when you need them they never put money first they always make sure you get what you need and the rest is worked out later in a way that can benefit you or anyone that needs their services they are amazing

George offered us such compassionate and professional treatment while handling the arrangements of my father-in-laws passing. If youre looking for a funeral home, this is the place! We so appreciate the guidance and kindness shown to us during such a hard time.
Everybody at Carpenter and Ford are wonderful people, they are kind and caring. They have been there for many of my family members and just recently when my husband passed as well.
My husband and I entrusted the care of our baby boy who passed away at 2 days old to Carpenter and Ford. They went above and beyond for us. They did everything they could to ease an impossibly painful process and it was obvious they genuinely cared. It's an impossible decision to choose a funeral home for an infant, but I'm confident we made the best choice.

My family could not have done all of this alone. Very personal people, compassionate.
I cannot begin to express how much Domico Funeral Home has meant to our family in the passing of first our dad in 2011 and then our precious mother, Helen Delores Rhoades just this July 27, 2025! Their compassion has been so evident and their integrity to do everything they said they would has been incredibly meaningful. When dad died in 2011, mom went to the funeral home to set up her arrangements because she did not want it be any burden on the family. As she grew more frail, she called and spoke with Tom and again told us, "when I die just call them and they will take care of everything!" That was exactly as we did and they did everything she asked--even though mom has been living in Florida. You all have been a godsend and a comfort in our time of grief! We thank you all must sincerely! Sue Chess, Port St. Lucie, FL

Our sweet 12 year old cat passed very abruptly devastating my daughter. This establishment was so kind and compassionate from beginning to end and allowed my daughter to take as much time as she needed to say goodbye. I could not recommend them more.
The most kind and compassionate service. I highly recommend their services.
We said goodbye to our 12.5 year old labrador retriever, Brody on November 2, 2025. We called on that day and Jim returned our call (on Sunday) to help us with arrangements following in-home Euthanasia. We chose to transport our boy on Monday. The location of High Meadow Crematory is beautiful. Honestly, I thought this is what our pups would see when they reach the rainbow bridge. The facility is spotless, well-maintained and Jim was professional and so kind. I felt a sense of peace with the whole process. Joyce called and set up a time for us to bring Brody home . No part of this process was hurried or uncaring. I would highly recommend High Meadows to care for your fur babies.

Nice Cemetery. the father of WV is buried here.
My family and I used to live near this cemetery and we used to walk the place regularly. The cemetery is known for being the resting place of Pierpont (Th Father of West Virginia), and I'm not sure if anyone else there is "famous" or not.
