It's never easy when a loved one passes, however, Duiguid makes it as pleasant as possible. Dan Mason is fantastic as well as well as other staff members. Very caring and transparent explaining costs and all aspects of the funeral process. Thank you so much and my highest recommendations.
The staff was absolutely professional and very understanding. My mother passed at home with hospice. When they arrived to take her to the funeral home we were extended the utmost of courtesy to take our time and say our goodbyes. In addition, about an hour after they left, my siblings and I walked into my moms room and the team had placed a single white rose on moms bed where she passed. We were all so touched we wept as a family. This moment of respect was so very comforting to us. We knew she would be treated with the respect she deserved. Such a wonderful team, I would absolutely recommend them to everyone going through the process of saying goodbye to your loved one!
A very caring and expedient funeral home. They came to the house at 430 in the morning and were the epitome of professionalism and kindness. Cant thank them enough for the care they showed my mom and her passing

In the fog of grief I failed to think about leaving a review for the kind, professional services we received during the worst days of our lives from Heritage Funeral Services. It was April 2020. Covid-19 was preventing all funerals. It was surreal not being able to have family members and friends surrounding us. John Saville understood how difficult this was for us. He was so gentle and kind. He helped us plan our son's graveside service. He made sure there would be an adequate sound system for us to play a very special song that meant so much to our son when he was going through multiple brain surgeries several years ago. He encouraged me to make the service as personal as I could. My husband and I were in a blur that day. John kept counting heads. He told us he stopped counting at 150. He knew that it would mean so much to us to know so many people had come dispite Covid. He's still more than willing to help us as we are finalizing a headstone. I designed something special that will

Whitten Funeral Home was wonderful to work with. They made caring for my loved one a priority and then meeting the needs of the family convenient and flexible. I had direct access to my funeral director that made answering questions or resolving issues very easy at any time. I'd recommend Paul Whitten and his team.
Paul Whitten exceeded our expectations in every way! He made special arrangements for our family to visit with our loved one during the holidays prior to cremation, and even called to check on me during Christmas Eve! Whitten's Timberlake is the only funeral home I would ever use or recommend!

During one of the most difficult seasons of our lives, Tharp Funeral Home provided truly outstanding service. From the very first conversation, their team showed genuine kindness, compassion, and professionalism. They treated our family with such tenderness and respect, guiding us through every detail with patience and understanding. Kaylyn was absolutely fantastic as our funeral director. She was patient, organized, and incredibly compassionate. She anticipated our needs, answered every question thoughtfully, and made sure every detail of the service honored our loved one beautifully. Her calm presence brought so much comfort during an overwhelming time. Pastor Greg was also amazing. His words were heartfelt, sincere, and spoke directly to our familys hearts. He helped create a meaningful and personal service that truly celebrated a life so deeply loved. Planning a Celebration of Life is never easy, but the team at Tharp made the process feel manageable and filled with care. Their
Very professional and knowledgeable, made me feel very comfortable and at home. My husband's body was prepared for viewing fit for a funeral, but he was to be cremated, I was surprised at that. He looked very peaceful and natural.
The whole experience with the professionals at Tharp was exceptional from the pre-planning work to the delivery of all the services we received. They truly care about doing their jobs well and ensuring that we could focus on celebrating the life of our Dad. They took care of far more than I would have expected from a funeral home, and that made the process smooth and seamless.

I discovered that my cat ate some lilies and was immediately able to get her in when I called! The staff was very understanding and quickly worked on her to keep any harm from progressing. They let me see her after they induced vomiting and let me stop by later with her bed and food when she wasnt wanting to eat back in the ICU. Thankfully she was able to come home in 24 hours and is back to her normal self! They were very helpful with giving updates along the way and followed up a couple of days afterwards to see how she was doing. It obviously was not a cheap bill but I expected it to be the same anywhere else or more based on the care that she needed to receive. I would definitely take her here again if anything were to happen!
Fast, efficient, & highly knowledgeable!
We were so pleased with our experience with AECC. We brought our mini schnauzer in for emergency exploratory surgery for an obstruction (a plastic cap hed swallowed). They explained everything so clearly and made us feel comforted and confident of their abilities. They took such great care of our pup, and he has been recovering so well.

My husbands passing was unexpected. Karen was very professional and deeply kind during this period of time where I was highly unfocused and grieving.
Heartbreaking to see how neglected this cemetery has become. The perimeter fences are in bad repair and in some places completely knocked down. The Apostles garden is overgrown with weeds as well as weeds growing on the mortuary buildings, the driveway is in poor condition, some graves are covered with ant hills. Grass is scarce and needs reseeding, on and on about how trashy this place looks. To top it off, the tacky LU symbol on top of the mountain is an eye sore to see from the cemetery. No money is being reinvested in this cemetery. Very sad UPDATE: I visited my loved ones graves last week (Oct 25, 2025) and wanted to update my review. I was so happy to see the great improvements in the upkeep of the grounds. The perimeter fencing was repaired, the Apostles Garden was cleaned up and looked so much better. The entire grounds looked much better. Thank you for honoring our loved ones by taking care of this cemetery. It was comforting to see the improvements!
Our family was so appreciative of Fort Hill's work when my mom passed away. Karen was wonderful to work with. She was patient with all of our questions, made herself available by text if needed, and made sure Mom's stone was exactly what we wanted. We took a good bit of time making our selections and she never rushed us or got impatient. Would recommend working with her and with Fort Hill to anyone.
