I live out of state and when my mom passed on January 4, 2026, my nephew recommended that she be sent to Palmetto Mortuary in Spartanburg, SC. He said they did a phenomenal job with my niece, (his sister), when she passed away a few years back. His family had also just sent his mother, (my sister), to be taken care of by Palmetto Mortuary and everything again was handled perfectly by them. I cannot say enough great things about how they have helped me in handling a very difficult situation that came up with trying to complete my mothers wishes from hundreds of miles away. The compassion, kindness and willingness to go the extra mile was so unbelievable. A young lady there, Heather, has been extremely instrumental in helping me get through a very emotional and stressful time. I know my mom has been handled and taken care extremely well while in their care. For that I will always be thankful. If I were to move to South Carolina, they would be the place I would select again to take c

We are very thankful for the relationships we have made at Graceland. Sometimes, it is hard to transition under new ownership. Although she had only been there for 3 weeks, Samantha Wilgosz went out of her way to make sure we had everything completed correctly. She and her team did a wonderful job preparing the chapel and the service was absolutely beautiful. Samantha was extremely helpful the day of the funeral. She kept everyone on task and made sure we all knew where to be. Thank you for your guidance, professionalism, and compassion, while helping us through a very difficult time. This team is going to be very successful because they care about their clients, and it shows!
Excellent customer service! Michael was very transparent and upfront with pricing. He showed a genuine concern and compassion about the service they provide. He was always available for questions and would go above and beyond. Handled my mom's cremation beautifully. Thank you for such great service Michael!
Michael was amazing to work with he was very kind and patiently explained everything. In fact, when I initially called, he had just left the office for a long weekend. He turned around, went back to the office, and helped coordinate arrangements. My father was a veteran, and Michael was very knowledgeable on what was needed for a military burial. We had used a higher priced mortuary when my in-laws passed away, since they had pre-purchased their final arrangements. The service we received from Graceland was equal, if not better, and far exceeded expectations. I highly recommend them!

The very best of all services rendered in all the years Ive had the privilege of working through in our times of bereavement.
Death sucks. But it's a part of life. After experiencing hurricane Helene, 21 days they kept my loved one. At times I became worried because of unpreventable circumstances due to the hurricane such as long and ongoing power outages that lasted for at least 7 days. Everyone knows the cooler plays a vital part along with embalming in slowing the deterioration of remains. I WAS TOLD BY STAFF WHICH I WILL NOT NAME with a witness to prove (THEY HAD NOT HAD A GENERATOR during that power outage and that's when my anxiety kicked in because again without any means of electricity- those coolers aren't functioning. Many contradict what the staff member had to say, saying they had a way to get electricity to the cooler, but not other areas.) All in all- this was my grandmother we talking about and she was still both beautiful and recognizable. WATKINS&GARRETT IS EXPENSIVE. They prices are astronomical. Gouged. With that being said, customers want to get what they pay for. Some funerals will cost 8
Very professional and meticulous about their work, also caring and people friendly

We have now used Thomas McAfee Northwest four times for family members, and they do a wonderful job every single time. The care they show and the kindness they extend havent gone without notice. We trust them.
As sad as this experience is to begin with, we couldn't have asked for a better partner to lay our mom to rest. When they came to pick her up, they told me to take all the time I need before they took her. They explained everything they were doing as they took her out. They told me to call them even that night if i needed them or had any questions. They kept in contact with my sister who lives out of state and I during the process, again not rushing us. When we meet to make arrangements, they made room for all 11 of us as well as a service dog and Ben as well as the others made sure we got what we wanted for a special send off for my mom. That continued when I went early to spend some time with mom before the service. They kept checking on me to make sure I didn't need anything. They paid attention to details to make the service exactly what we wanted. And at the graveside, Hunter stayed and talked to us as we stayed during burial. We could not have asked for a bette
I honestly can not thank Kurt Wolfe, and Ben enough for the care that was shown to me during the most difficult time of my life. They truly go above and beyond to make sure your comfortable and understand everything. And they take the time to get to know you, and go out of there way to make everything as easy as they can. I will 100% recommend Thomas McAfee to everyone I know, because they treat you like family!

My cousin passed away in Greenville. He lived all alone. I could not get down to handle his funeral arrangements. Grant from Tomas McAfee Funeral Homes was an immense help. We communicated by phone and he took care of everything the way I wanted it to be. This was so tragic for me and Grant was more then helpful, he was a great support at this terrible time. Anyone who is reading this I cannot recommend the highly enough.
Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes gave us exceptional service during one of the most difficult moments of our lives. The service all around was excellent from the beginning to the end. Wendy is amazing with all of the logistics. She covered every single detail. The staff are most gracious from the administrators to the limo drivers. The whole experience was wonderful and my mom looked beautiful. I couldnt be more pleased unless it was free. Thank you to all of the staff!

My sweet calico kitty, Riin, of almost 18 years passed on December 17th and I just got her ashes and paw prints back today. I had never gone through this process before but am so beyond pleased with how beautifully done everything was! I feel my sweet baby was honored well. After Riin was dropped off at my vet to later be picked up by Agape, I had called and spoke to Kendall about the process, if it was possible to get an extra ink print, changing the spelling of her name, AND if they could save a tiny purple ribbon that was on her at drop off. I was so worried it was too late to do these things, but Kendall was so so kind and compassionate, answering all of my questions and working all these things out! Seeing the tiny purple ribbon come back to me today in the bag was such a healing joy to my heart. Thank you all so much for honoring my baby well in this hard time with such kindness & compassion.
I recently lost my 4-legged son Blu. He meant so much to me and my family. Kendal (Im sorry if I am spelling your name wrong) She was TRULY AMAZINGd It was a very traumatic experience to have to go through, but she went out of her way to call and update me on the procedures. I cant Thank you enough, for your empathy, patience, consideration, professionalism. I feel so much better having him home with me and my family.z6
On October 10th, our dog passed. This was my first time doing this. Our vet uses Agapes services for cremation. I phoned them and spoke with Kendal& Absolute angel on earth. She answered every question I had, coordinated a special pickup of our dog from the vet. In addition, she even called me on her off time to assure me that they had our special guy. Her driver went out of his way to pick him up on a Friday afternoon when he did not have to. It was our choice to go to their office and pick up or dogs ashes as soon as possible. The supervisor and his staff made sure that everything was completed as requested and offered additional help if needed. Their customer service and kindness was so above what is considered as great. So thankful that we used them at this sad and difficult time.

During this troubling time I had the opportunity to meet Elicia Hughes and she is the very best person I could have ever hoped for. Empathy, sympathy and compassion is how I was treated. She is doing Gods work and she shall continue doing so. Im grateful for her support and compassion during this difficult time.
Tracy and Chuck were very delicate and transporting my aunt from her bed into their vehicle and showed great compassion I recommend this service to anybody that needs it
I give this place a 5 star rating this is a very busy funeral home and they are low cost to serve families with low income. Most funeral homes charge absolutely way to much and they are only worried about getting paid as well. This is a business and for it to run they have got to pay there bills people dont take into consideration that If anyone has passed at home they gotta request a BRT from local Corners office in what county they passed. A BRT has got to be issued a original death certificate has got to be issued from vital records office. The doctor has got to sign off on the death certificate which can take anywhere from 1 day up to three weeks depending on when the doctor signs off, doctors get sick as well as we do and its gotta be a doctor that will sign the death certificate, and they have to be seen by the doctor at least six months before they pass for the doctor to even sign. after the doctor signs and the certificate is issued by vital records you can then request a cr

My son hung himself in prison 2 months ago . He was only 29 yrs old . They were gonna cremate his body if I didn't get someone to go get him within 1 day . I called and explained things to the lady here and asked could they plz help me that I had no money and she had someone go over 200 miles to Bishopville to get his body . I could not find nobody to do it without making me pay upfront . She told me it was gonna be ok and she would take care of it . Not only did they go get him for me , they told me even if I decided to go with a different mortuary that she wouldn't charge me . I wanted to say thank you to them because that was the hardest time of my life and they never not once asked for nothing . My family did go with a diff mortuary only because we went a cheaper way bc of money issues . Im not sure if the lady's name bc I was so upset but she knows who she is , and I owe her a huge thank you and I appreciate what she did for me . e The lady will have treasures in heaven for h
