We went with our mom several years ago, to McAlister Smith Funeral Homes, to choose and pay for what she wanted when the time would come to take her home to her Lord. Fast forward to the recent week when our mom passed and we were faced with the preparation of her final arrangements. We were not prepared for the decisions that had to be made to include verses, memories, music and her outfit. We were consumed with such sadness and a degree of not accepting this was happening. My brother and I were met exactly where we were and led through each and every step. Today I was remembering how well everyone took care of us and our baby girl (Buffy). It has been years and I still feel like it was yesterday. She was a princess to us and she got the princess treatment going to her final resting place. I was staring at the beautiful paw print they made for her and remembered the instant love, care, and detail everyone put into every aspect of her aftercare. You all will always be a forever go to for our fur babies aftercare and you have left the best of memories on our hearts in how you cared for us and her. Thank you so much � Thank you Gia Kondakor for being so compassionate and attentive during our time of grief and thank you Jasmin Maulding for being there to meet us with her. When you brought out the cart to transport her, all the beautiful blankets that were waiting to carry her to her next destination, it reminded me that princess treatment can exist even beyond this realm. I had an extremely empathic and professional experience with this funeral home for my father's cremation and I am so glad I chose to do business with them. Julie was truly wonderful in all aspects of my father's cremation and Kathy helped with getting six Sheriff volunteers who treated us like royalty to escort the family and friends for my father's funeral in a procession from the church on Johns Island to the cemetery on James Island. I made an excellent choice going with Charleston Cremation Center & Funeral Home. I would not hesitate to hire them for your loved one's cremation. They also provided a lovely online obituary platform for my father. They deserve five stars all around.

Great service for loss of a pet. My little old man (teacup Yorkie) passed after illness on Monday after almost 16 years. I had scoped out their website beforehand because I knew it was coming. A++ on the website being so informative with prices etc... so I knew exactly what to expect. This is a huge deciding factor for me when choosing any service. I arrived right as they were closing. Julie was extremely compassionate. I was in and out probably 5-10 minutes because I just wanted the basics. The little tin that comes with the package is so cute. I now have my little man back with me after picking him up today. Extremely happy with the ease of the process during this rough time for me. Thank you CCC.

Recently buried my grandmother & the staff was so amazing throughout the whole proccess. Ms. Lucy was personable and walked us through every detail while being compassionate and understanding. They deserve their flowers in a tough time when things seem unbearable its good to see people still being human beings to one another.
