This is a beautiful chapel. The stained glass is amazing. The masonry work and marble are impressive. The gentleman who walked me around was very friendly and told me some interesting things about the chapel. Highly recommend visiting this spot!

A loggia of three massive arches connects the chapel with its towers, which provides a magnificent 100-mile view of the Hudson River Valley. The sumptuous interior, virtually unchanged in its 120 years, features eight Tiffany stained-glass windows. Marble mosaics in delicate tints adorn the floor and altars. Wainscoting is crafted of pink African marble. The ceilings and pews are all hand-carved quarter-sawn oak.

On December 24, 2020, my brother-in-law passed away unexpectedly at his home. Anthony Perniciaro was wonderful in helping our family make arrangements for the transfer of his remains from Albany Medical Center to the funeral home and even met with us on Sunday, December 27th to help finalize arrangements. Later when we had difficulties with the cemetery, Anthony stepped in and was able to quickly cut through the red tape to arrange for my brother-in-law's interment with his parents. Throughout the process Anthony was compassionated, professional, and gave great advice during a very difficult time. Based upon his help, I would not hesitate to use his funeral home in the future and would urge anyone needing the services of a funeral home in the Capital Region to chose McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home. We will always remember and be thankful for the compassion and guidance we received from Anthony and feel fortunate that we were recommended to him.

Mr. Anthony and his team at Mcloughlin funeral home were exceptionally helpful with the funeral of our late brother, uncle and father Mr. Kingsley Otoo Lomotey. Their level of tolerance, patience, guidance and accommodation of our last minute changes and traditions was out of this world and impecable. We had to change funeral dates about 3x due to family decisions and traditions in Africa, yet they went above and beyond to enable us give Mr. Kingsley Otoo Lomotey a very befitting funeral the Africa way. I went to one of their tour today where they cremate the bodies simply gorgeous ton of information realize how much history is behind every part of the whole Oakwood Cemetery I've learned so much and seen so many beautiful pieces of Art the Tiffany windows in Armstrong crafts of art are just outstanding I took beautiful pictures thank you Cathy Baker I would have never known it if you never invited me thank you for all the history I've learned today I enjoyed just driving through and just beautiful I give it 10 Stars

A beautiful cemetery that is very well kept. Full of lovely old trees and gravestones. A great place to walk and enjoy the quiet.

Weve driven by the chapel a million times but we really knew nothing about it until we stopped in to buy tie dye T-shirts to support their 175th anniversary celebration. What we thought would be a mundane transaction turned into a delightful exploration of the grounds and chapel with David, a very kind gentleman from their office. The T-shirts are awesome, as well as the gargoyle key chains, but the brief tour from David was the highlight of our summer! Oakwood has a fascinating history, breathtaking Louis C. Tiffany stained glass windows and fabulous views from throughout the property. Were looking forward to attending some of their events to explore Oakwood Cemetery even further. What a treasure!!!
