I contacted them months in advance. They provided me with an estimate to which they adhered exactly. I called a couple of weeks before the death just to confirm and they addressed my concerns respectfully and accurately. They arrived at my home within a half hour of being contacted. Two gentlemen came in, they were extremely sympathetic, respectful, and deferential. They told us everything they were going to do before they did it and offered us options about the procedure. I spoke with a close friend about their experience with a cremation though a funeral home. They had to sit with a funeral director for over an hour as he tried to sell them services. They bought a $400 urn; I took the included container. The only other difference is that their loved one was removed from a facility and mine from home. They spent over three times as much as I did. Some may find it tacky to shop for funeral services, but my wife would have been pleased.

New leaf was very sympathetic to my circumstance. They helped in every way possible. I would recommend new leaf cremation to anybody who needs these services.

I am writing to share my family's very positive review of Macken Mortuary. My Aunt had been ill for sometime and had been staying with us in the Bronx. She wanted her services to be closer to home in Nassau as she lived in Long beach most of her life. When we called Macken and explained the situation, they were very understanding and handled everything. Apparently, there are rules about transporting between the counties that can get sticky. After handling the situation as sensitively as possible, the guys at Macken then set about helping us finalize the arrangements. Macken worked with us so that we could give my Aunt exactly what she wanted, which was complicated by the Covid restrictions. We can't say enough good things about the people at Macken, and would recommend them without reservation.

Chris Jordan and his staff are the best in the business. True professionals at every step. Always comforting and caring, and their attention to detail is incredible. I have been to many wakes here and I must say, as sad as the occasions are, Chris and his staff do an amazing job.
