My husband, William Pete James, was funeralized on Monday December 8th. I would like to express a very, very heartfelt Thank You and extreme appreciation to Mrs. Carole Stevens and the staff at Stevens Funeral Home for their compassion, professionalism, and patience with me in planning and executing the funeral and burial of my husband. Three things in particular Id like to mention. First, it ended up snowing in NC and Virginia on the day of the funeral causing one of my soloists coming from VA to cancel out the morning of the funeral. Everybody cant necessarily sing the two songs I had asked him to sing. I was tremendously stressed. In sharing this with Mrs. Stevens, she was very comforting in asking me to please stay calm. She said she was going to check on some things, and shed get back with me shortly. She called back about 30 minutes later saying shed found a soloist and musician who could do both songs that same day at the funeral. They did a fantastic job despit

Stevens Funeral Home was responsible for my brother's going home service and they did a spectacular job. The funeral home was very professional and organized. The staff was kind and the facility was clean. The choir they had was absolutely phenomenal and we couldn't have picked better singers ( and musicians ) for the service. Nick and his staff made this difficult time bearable. They were very understanding and patient with my family. He came to our home to plan things instead of us having to go to them. My mom has dementia and this made things easier for us to plan. I highly recommend them for all your funeral and cremation needs. You will not be disappointed. Nick was wonderful to work with during our time of sorrow. The service provided was top notch. Prices were so much better than several other funeral homes. Will definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

A few months before my papa Passed away I had called so many funeral homes looking for someone who could help. I wasnt looking for anything special. I just needed someone to sit down and talk with me about how the process goes and what kind of price I would be looking at so I could prepare myself. We knew it was coming. We just didnt know when. I spoke on the phone with Nick, He has a voice that you cant forget. Although he cracked a lot of jokes(Which I really liked) His voice was very calming in A situation like this. I called so many funeral homes, and he was the only one who was willing to stop his day and talk to someone who didnt have any money in their hand. Every other funeral home called Acted like they could not be bothered with someone with no money in their hand. Fast-forward a few months later on February 4, my Papa Went to be with his heavenly father. I knew that I wanted to go with Providence. Even when every family member was telling me to go with other places. I

So thankful for how this funeral home and the people who run it are so sweet and helpful in so many ways! From preplanning to the day of all the way through the process made it feel like a breeze no extra stress. Hope to not have to need them again but in the unfortunate event we do we definitely will be using them again.

I can't express enough about Carla and Leigh and everyone else at Shingleton Funeral Home that they did a wonderful job on Willie Franklin Skinner's funeral service. The whole staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and we couldn't be more happy with everything they did for us. The funeral service and burial was perfect! My experience with Thomas Yelverton Funeral Home was exceptional from start to finish. Chuck Jones was very professional and made the planning process very easy during a difficult time. Moreover, the rest of his staff were equally professional, kind and confident in their positions. I would highly recommend anyone use this funeral home service. When called he was there. He picked her up (Squirt) within 30 minutes of her passing and we got her back the next day. Two casts of her paw were made and some of her fur was saved. I've lost pets when I was younger but this loss is visceral.
