Thomas is a wonderful person. He was caring, and so helpful when I really needed for him to be. Thank you, Thomas.
I had worked years ago with Lafferty and Smith when a loved one passed away, and needed their help again in 2025. Just as before, they were professional and caring. My main contact was funeral director Thomas Eyre. I very much appreciated not only his knowledge of the process, but also his responsiveness. I highly recommend them.
Lafferty & Smith Colonial Chapel provided outstanding care and support to our family after the passing of our mother, just as they did 10 years ago when our father passed. Thomas and Tanya were a pleasure to work withcompassionate, professional, and incredibly helpful during a difficult time. They guided us through every step of the process and even helped us use an insurance policy that had been purchased many years ago. Their experience and kindness made all the difference, and were deeply grateful.

Eggen and Lance Funeral Home in Santa Rosa provided truly exceptional care and compassion during one of the most difficult times of our lives. From the very beginning, their staff treated my mother with the utmost dignity, respect, and professionalism. Every step of the process was handled with care, sensitivity, and clear communication, which brought us tremendous comfort during our time of grief. They created a calm, supportive environment and gave our family the space, time, and opportunity we needed to properly say goodbye to her something we will always be deeply grateful for. Their kindness, attention to detail, and genuine empathy did not go unnoticed. It was clear that they truly care about the families they serve, and that made an immeasurable difference for us. We cannot thank Eggen and Lance enough for their outstanding service and compassionate support. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a funeral home that treats your loved one and your family with respect, car
1000/10 rating. Matt and Jaimie and the whole team did an amazing job with such a delicate and heartbreaking time. They are very matter of fact and upfront about services, pricing, and respectful and caring about all that goes into this part of when someone passes. I think when you have a loved one pass there is so much you forget or have on your plate, and they helped make this process as streamline and beautiful as possible. My family and I had issues with a previous cremation company and Eggen & Lance made sure to advocate and ensure all the documentation was sent and handled all of that so we could get our refund, they took that added stress off our plate. They made a really sad day turn into a celebration of life and if you ever are in need of funeral services I cant recommend them enough.
Making arrangements while grieving a loved one feels impossible, but the staff at Eggen and Lance took a huge weight off our shoulders and did everything with grace, kindness, and patience. Working with Matt and Jaime was incredible. They took one of the hardest times in my familys life and made it bearable. Matts knowledge made the entire process feel smooth while still being gentle and compassionate with our family. Both Matt and Jaime were always available to answer questions or help us whenever we needed. I cant thank them enough for everything they did for our family and for honoring and caring for our mom while she was in their care.

This place and the staff are absolutely amazing. Ive been here more times then id like to be, but everyone of my family members that's been at this place has been treated like they were one of their own. Taylor the director listens and genuinely cares. She made each process so easy as it should be. As well as honoring my military family members. The entire staff has always been so professional and kind. I highly, and I mean highly recommend this place. They are so respectful helpful and caring in the most difficult times. A beautiful cemetery
I want to express my deepest gratitude to Chapel of the Chimes and funeral director Althea. When my Dad started declining, someone suggested them as one of the local mortuaries I should consider setting up a funeral plan with. I spoke with Althea, and immediately felt that she was the right person to work with to create a plan for my father's eventual memorial. She was compassionate, personal, professional, flexible, available, and I always felt completely committed to fulfilling my needs, not her business'. She was especially helpful in finding ways to work within my budget, which I deeply appreciated. If you are looking for a mortuary and funeral director, I 100% recommend you consider Althea and Chapel of the Chimes-it is a very personal choice, but for our family's needs I cannot imagine working with anyone else.
During this difficult time, both Kate and Elizabeth made me feel very comfortable in making difficult decisions. I would highly recommend this company. They really do go above and beyond. Thank you Kate. And Thank you Elizabeth, you are truly angels.

David Caldwell spoke at a lunch we were invited to locally. He was authentic as he spoke and shared personal experiences and stories. He was kind and very knowledgable and thorough. Honest about pricing and everything included. We chose monthly billing to make it easier to pay over 5 years. No salesy pressure. We waited several weeks before making a decision. David came to our house and helped us sign up in our own time. It was a great experience.
Easy to understand, all questions were answered.
