All the folks at Drum Funeral Home in Hickory were helpful and genuinely compassionate when we used their services after my mother passed away. They guided me through each step of the process and made gentle suggesting when we were indecisive, but never pushed for more than what we wanted.

The team at Drum was very compassionate, helpful, and responsive in our time of need. They took care of everything and made us feel like family.

I must say that though the circumstances surrounding us patronizing this location were less than ideal, the staff was more than kind. The team here went well above and beyond to help us through a difficult situation and we will be forever thankful for the blessing they were to us.

Brenda, was compassionate and understanding. She and the staff has made it easy so I didnt have to have another thing to do, especially, while mourning my Papi. I appreciate and love the two room set up and water & tissues available. They helped me to fulfill my Papis wishes at the viewing. After my Papis cremation, the staff drove to my house to hand me the urn & charms selected. It all was so helpful for me, and they were angels in my time of need. Thank you again for everything, and I definitely recommend to anyone I know! r

I highly recommend Bass Smith Funeral Home, in Hickory, NC. The communication between the staff and my brother & I , during the planning of funeral plans. for our 92 year old mother was awesome. So thankful for everyone at this facility who walked my family and I through a difficult period of arranging our mothers funeral. Each one is professional yet caring. Someone checked in with us daily even when we had to reschedule due to the snowstorms. When youre grieving the loss of your loved one, you need someone who can come alongside and explain everything.
