Everything I would hope for in a funeral home

I couldn't have realized how much it would mean to be heard and to have needs so well anticipated, with such thorough follow-through during my experience. It means a lot as it turns out, and I appreciate both the professionality and the consideration I received.

I found the staff to be extremely patient, caring , and understanding of the enormous grief our family was going through. I was glad I had met with them twice before in months past making it easier for me to make wise decisions. Everything was done with dignity and respect for my husband and my family. I am so thankful for their kindness to me.

I recently attended a very large funeral service at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church that Wright and Salmon handled. It was the most beautifully executed service I have ever witnessed . There were so many moving parts, hundreds in attendance, and I could not help but notice how seamlessly they handled every part of it. From moving the guests, the service, the processional, and the final resting place, everything was polished, professional, and impeccably executed. Last year I assisted my brother in planning a funeral in Chicago and I was shocked at how drastically different funeral planning and execution is handled in a large city. Maybe thats why I was noticing alllll the details yesterday. Maybe its because I was an event coordinator for 18 years of my life. But regardless of those things, what I witnessed was pure perfect perfection. And I needed to leave a review to state just that. Highly recommend.

Mike, Tim, Lindsay, Tony, and certainly many more members of the Wright and Salmon family made such a difficult life process so easy. We didnt have to worry about what needed to be taken care of, they took care of everything for us; All involved handled everything with such compassion, grace and class; No business attitude at all, simply sincere sympathy, caring, and true commitment to making everything seamless and beautiful for my Mothers services. This family has been taking care of mine for decades and will be for many more.

I was very pleased with the service I received from Parkview Cemetery. Jenny went over all the options and costs of prepaying a funeral for a family member. I now have peace of mind that my family member's final resting arrangements are complete. Parkview is where all my family is buried and I would recommend them for anyone interested or needing to make funeral arrangements.

Everything the other 5-star reviewers said is completely accurate. Losing a beloved pet was difficult enough without our veterinarian's office attempting to gouge us by trying to convince us THEY were the only option for respectfully cremating our sweet angel. We did our homework and discovered Peoria Pet Crematory. We called ahead and arranged a time with Jacob. Once our vet had put her to sleep, we wrapped her in her blanket and placed her in a nylon storage bag (see photo). Even though our vet made us wait for two hours (which made Jacob wait also) he kindly rearranged HIS schedule to meet us when we arrived. Don't let your veterinarian (or other fancy crematories) try to gouge you. The gentlemen at this wonderful business will seamlessly take care of what you need done without adding to your grief with unnecessary costs.

I would highly recommend Peoria Pet Crematory Services. Lance made the whole process easy. He was friendly and treated our dog with respect. We were able to receive our loved one back within a few hours along with a lovely note and bag. We will be recommending the service to anyone in need.

Lance was very respectful to both us and our dog. When we dropped off our pet we had him back within the day.

Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Service was so wonderful during the recent loss of my father. They were caring, sensitive and prompt. They answered all of our questions and had services that were included that we did not realize would be so important. They gave us time to process, but also knew some things needed to be done promptly. I appreciated having an announcement online which could be changed or added to with just a call to their staff. Thanks so much for you help during this difficult time.

The members of this funeral home are amazing! We used their services for my Dad and they were great. Few years later my nephew was in a freak accident at work we choose to use them again , Year later father in law passed away in his sleep, Then mother in law passed 6 months later, They were amazing with cremation of all of our family members! The entire staff is very polite and compassionate and patient.

James and Cynthia and their team did an exceptional job carrying out my father, Allen Durham's final wishes. They walked my family through each step, were empathetic and caring.I highly recommend them.

The staff at Simon's Mortuary was amazing giving that they were very busy the last few weeks. This type of job is demanding and trying to please every family, takes a very special kind of gift to have. They did an amazing job with my mother Jeanette Young. What I loved most, was the privacy we recieved during our service. They were sensitive towards our needs. They set my mothers table up beautifully; just the way I wanted and more. I was oblivious to details( as this was my first time ever doing a funeral for a loved one) but, the wife( sorry I'm terrible with names) and Marcus took me under their wing and helped me through the process. I'm sorry some of you had bad experiences, but please remember they are doing the best they can to service our community. For example, their speaker did not work during moms service. Guess what? We came prepared with our own speaker to play my mothers songs. I ask my cousin to bring his JUST IN CASE. I'm not bashing them because of one or two mishaps

They have been absolutely excellent and totally professional. My son passed away at age 21. It was really difficult to deal with. We didn't have the money to properly have a funeral but they worked out a plan. We can pay him. Besides that, every service and every minute of what they did was excellent. I couldn't recommend if you ever in the situation or need a place to memorial acts a loved one. This would be the place I would recommend

This one hits hard but at the same time I had no complaints. This was a personal family owned business and found out it no longer is. But, Tiffany is still there and has been for quite some time and that helped with the transition and family based connection. I appreciate everything and the last minute necklace urns that miss jessica helped us with. These ladies are amazing and so accommodating. I appreciate all of your help. Rachel hayden/morgan
