Five Stars&.100 Stars. Losing a loved one, as our family just has, is a huge loss emotionally. For anyone. Overwhelming. Trying to find closure for a loved one, represent them, and celebrate their life is not an easy feat. Life insurance, decisions, coordinating, mass, burial arrangements. How thats all coordinated. Put your mind at ease. Its taken a while, to put this into words. Tom, Pat, the Costello Family, and Maureen. Made all of that seemless. Not as a business transaction, but as a part of their family. The compassion, guidance, and professionalism extended to all of us, seemed effortless for them, but was what our family needed at that moment. We cannot thank The Costello Family and their team enough. Thank you for the closure and the celebration of a life well lived and loved.
I would place my highest recommendation on this funeral home, especially when communicating with Pat. This man is truly wonderful and I could not recommend him enough. Unfortunately, no one wants to have to need a funeral home, but when a loved one does perish, you want to honor them with a proper, respectful sendoff. My experience is a little different. I had a miscarriage and my husband and I wanted to honor our little one and cremate it. I feel so blessed to have had Pat during this difficult time in our lives. I waited 2 months for my doctor to complete the cremation form. She kept coming up with reasons why she couldnt do it, and then towards the end of our communication, she actually yelled over me and said very hurtful things. Whenever I called Pat to update him, he was always so calm and even offered to call her multiple times to assist in getting this cremation to happen. He was on the phone for hours and was checking the system every single day, sometimes multiple times a da
Thorough professionals, who leave nothing to chance. Pat walked me through the process with care and meticulous attention to detail. Every step from picking up the body to receiving the ashes went off without a hitch. What completely took me by surprise, however, was the work they did after the wake. From filling out paperwork for a life insurance claim, to making sure we submitted the forms for veterans benefits, Maureen was on top of it.

I recently worked with Gerity & Chubenko Funeral Home in Woodbridge for the arrangements for my loved one, and the care we received was exceptional & supportive. Shawn & staff were incredibly compassionate and guided us through every step with patience. Guiding us gently through each step of the process. Their attention to detail and genuine compassion helped ease a very difficult time for our family. We are deeply grateful for their professionalism and kindness. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of respectful and heartfelt service. Thank you, God Bless Batista Family
Absolutely fantastic experience. We visited a different funeral home prior to seeing Shawn at Gerity which he did not know prior to meeting me. We ended up having services at this location for my mother. His knowledge and the way he conducts himself is exactly what you want to deal with when you have a death in the family. He handled everything from getting my mother to NJ from a different state to booking our repose. The facility is also very nice and homey. We will be back if we need services again.
I called the funeral home for a copy of the cremation certificate so I can carry the ashes across customs in India since cremation remains are sealed in a cardboard box and I didnt want to open the box and damage the box they did ask me to open the box and get it out of the box unfortunately the receptionist answering the phone didnt tell me I could have called the crematory fir a copy and manager did correct me on that so I appreciate it
