Mike Lyons was the funeral director who assisted us. He has a calm and sincere demeanor. Answered all of our questions and gave us a minute when we needed it. We did not expect him to help make the arrangements at Fort Snelling and was very appreciative for those extra calls.

At the most difficult and impossibly sad time for my family, they provided kindness, care and guidance when it was needed most. I cannot find the words to fully express my sincere gratitude and profound appreciation for their support, gentleness and dedication to my family. I am forever thankful. - Timothy Norton

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Shrader - Howell Funeral Home and their incredible team. During two of the most difficult times in my life - losing my mom and then my dad just 10 months apart - they provided our family with compassionate, dignified care that went above and beyond anything we could have expected. From our very first meeting, their kindness was evident. They treated both of my parents with the utmost respect and handled every detail with such care and professionalism. What truly stood out was how they remembered our family when we returned for my dads service. Shrader-Howell made us feel supported and they genuinely cared about helping us through our grief. The staff guided us through every step with patience and understanding, never making us feel rushed or overwhelmed. They honored my parents memories beautifully and helped create services that truly reflected who they were. During the hardest moments of my life, Shrader - Howell Funeral Home was a sour

From the very beginning, Director Jeff Bell and his team were incredibly kind, empathetic, and attentive to our needs. They were exceptionally accommodating of our Hindu cultural ceremonies, ensuring every ritual was performed with respect. Their support allowed us to send off my mother's soul in a peaceful and dignified manner. Additionally, their high-quality live stream of the service was a wonderful resource allowing our remote family and friends to participate from afar. I highly recommend their service and wish the team the very best.

Funeral Service during a pandemic is very tough. In addition the weather included gale force winds and heavy rain. Cartmell-Davis and John Vincent did an extraordinary job. We had a small outside service. They did a beautiful job with their celebration of life approach. They produced a loverly trifold of our mother, bookmarks with her photo and a poem and preprinted thank you cards. The tent was erected in the cemetery and they handled every request including placement of 30 poinsettias. They could not have been more accommodating. Staff was highly professional. The singer was superb under trying circumstances.Highly recommend Cartmell-Davis.
