We had something very challenging happen with the death of my mother, who had "donated her body to science". Upon her death, we found that the company would not be accepting her body because she didn't qualify --It had been about 12 years since she had made arrangements. Our hospice team and family was in shock and it was getting to be late evening. Thank God for Lakeview Funeral Home. They arrived at our home within 15 minutes (we live in the mountains and it is a challenging road to get to our home in the winter weather) --They embraced us with the compassion and logistics we needed in an emergency situation. Bert and Kate were amazing. After they left, I saw they had made my moms bed, and left a beautiful rose and letter for our family.
