If your veterinarian handed you a Lasting Paws brochure, you are probably in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico or Utah -- those are the four states the company serves. This page does two things: it lists every Lasting Paws location we have in our directory with address and phone number, and it tells you who owns the company, which the brand name does not.
The ownership answer is not a secret and required no digging. The footer of lastingpawspetmemorial.com reads "© 2026 - Powered By Gateway," and the site's Careers and Privacy Policy links both point to gatewayservicesinc.com. Gateway Services Inc.'s own corporate site, in turn, lists Lasting Paws as the brand serving Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah. Both checked August 16, 2026.
That is a disclosed corporate relationship, disclosed by the company, and it is entirely legal and ordinary. It is worth knowing for exactly one reason, covered at the bottom of this page: it changes what a second quote means.
Last verified: August 16, 2026. Locations below come from our own provider directory and were cross-checked against the company's own locations page on that date -- the two rosters matched exactly, 8 for 8. We do not state a price for Lasting Paws anywhere on this page.

What the Ratings Spread Tells You
The eight locations range from 3.8 to 5.0 stars in our directory. That is a wide band for a single brand, and it is the most practically useful thing on this page.
It means your experience is a function of the individual facility, not the brand. Centennial, Colorado sits at 3.8 with 48 reviews; Loveland, forty-odd miles north, sits at 5.0 with 45. Same company, same four-state region, very different reported experiences. Read the reviews for the specific location that will handle your pet -- not the national reputation, and not our summary of it.
This is true of every multi-location provider, chain or franchise or independent group. Local management and local staffing drive the outcome.
Who Owns Lasting Paws Pet Memorial
Gateway Services Inc. Lasting Paws' own website says so in its footer, and Gateway's corporate site names Lasting Paws as its Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah brand.
Some context on Gateway, all of it from primary sources:
- On September 4, 2025, the Federal Trade Commission filed a complaint describing Gateway as "by far the largest pet cremation services company in the United States, with 1,992 U.S.-based employees," operating "over 100 locations servicing 17,000 customers across North America." FTC complaint (PDF)
- Gateway's own site, checked August 16, 2026, advertises "over 150+ Locations" and "over 2,000 Team Members" -- a North American figure that includes Canada, where the company is headquartered. The FTC's "over 100" is the US-only number. Both are accurate for what they measure.
- The FTC complaint states Gateway Services, Inc. is located in Guelph, Ontario, and that its US subsidiary, Gateway US Holdings Inc., is a Delaware corporation with its principal place of business in Cranston, Rhode Island.
- On November 25, 2025, the FTC approved a final consent order concerning Gateway's employment non-compete agreements. FTC press release
That last item deserves a precise reading, because it is easy to misuse. The order is about contracts Gateway required of its own employees, which the FTC alleged prevented them from working in pet cremation elsewhere in the US for twelve months. It contains no finding about pricing, no finding about advertising, and no finding about how any animal's remains were handled, and a consent order is not an admission of liability. It says nothing about the care your pet would receive at a Lasting Paws facility.

Why Lasting Paws Does Not List Prices, and Neither Do We
You will not find a price for Lasting Paws on this page. That is deliberate.
Pet cremation pricing is set locally, varies substantially with your pet's weight, and varies again with the service type -- private, partitioned or communal. Lasting Paws does not publish a rate card for its markets, and neither do most independent crematories. Any site quoting you a specific Lasting Paws figure for Glendale or Wheat Ridge is either repeating an unsourced number or inventing one, and a wrong number is worse than none when you are making this decision in one of the worst weeks of your year.
What to do instead: call the location above and ask for a written, itemized total for the exact service you want, including urn, paw print or fur clipping if you want them, transport, and return delivery. Then get the same written total from one unaffiliated provider nearby. Our guide to pet cremation cost by weight explains what actually drives the figure so you can tell whether a quote is reasonable.
Pros of Using Lasting Paws
- Real facilities in eight cities across four states, with published addresses and direct phone numbers, rather than a call center routing to an unnamed partner.
- Strong review averages at most locations -- five of the eight sit at 4.5 or above in our directory.
- Scale infrastructure. Large operators typically run formal chain-of-custody tracking and have backup capacity when a machine goes down, which matters more than families expect.
- Established vet relationships. If your veterinarian already works with Lasting Paws, the handoff is routine and your pet is not waiting while arrangements are improvised.
- Ownership is disclosed on the company's own site, which is more than can be said for many brands in this industry.
Cons of Using Lasting Paws
- No published pricing. You cannot compare in a browser tab; you have to call.
- Coverage is only four states. Outside AZ, CO, NM and UT, Gateway routes you to a different brand entirely -- see the state-by-state map.
- Ratings vary sharply by location, from 3.8 to 5.0. The brand average tells you little about your branch.
- A "second quote" from another Gateway brand is not a second company. If you are in a border area and consider Lasting Paws plus West Coast Pet Memorial or Trusted Journey, those are brands of the same parent.
- Pricing and packages are typically set above the branch level at national operators, so the person you speak with may have limited discretion.

This article states ownership facts sourced from Lasting Paws' own website footer and from Gateway Services Inc.'s corporate website as those pages read on August 16, 2026, and from the FTC's administrative complaint filed September 4, 2025 and final consent order approved November 25, 2025, each linked above. The FTC consent order concerns employment non-compete agreements and is not a finding of fraud, a finding about pricing, or a finding about the handling of any animal's remains; a consent order is not an admission of liability. Operating multiple brands under one parent is lawful and common. This article does not state a price for Lasting Paws or any other company. Location details and ratings are from our provider directory as verified on August 16, 2026 and may change -- confirm with the company's own locations page before relying on them.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many Lasting Paws locations are there?
Eight, as verified on August 16, 2026: Glendale and Flagstaff in Arizona; Wheat Ridge, Centennial and Loveland in Colorado; Albuquerque and Las Cruces in New Mexico; and Sandy, Utah. That count matches the company's own locations page exactly. Full addresses and phone numbers are in the table above. Rosters change, so confirm before driving to any address.
Who owns Lasting Paws Pet Memorial?
Gateway Services Inc. The company discloses this itself -- the footer of lastingpawspetmemorial.com reads "© 2026 - Powered By Gateway," and its Careers and Privacy Policy links both point to gatewayservicesinc.com. Gateway's own corporate site separately lists Lasting Paws as the brand serving Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah. The FTC's September 2025 complaint describes Gateway as the largest pet cremation services company in the United States. See who owns your pet crematory for the full picture.
What does Lasting Paws cost?
Lasting Paws does not publish prices, and we do not publish a figure for it, because pet cremation pricing is set locally and varies with your pet's weight and the service type. Any site quoting a specific Lasting Paws price is repeating an unsourced number. Call the location serving you and ask for a written, itemized total covering the cremation, the urn, any paw print or fur clipping, transport and return delivery -- then get the same written total from an unaffiliated provider. Our pet cremation cost by weight guide explains what drives the number.
Is there a Lasting Paws near me?
Lasting Paws serves only Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah, from the eight facilities listed above. Outside those four states, Gateway routes families to a different one of its brands -- West Coast Pet Memorial on the West Coast and in Idaho and Nevada, Trusted Journey across much of the Midwest, Pet Angel Memorial Center across much of the South. Our state-by-state brand map shows which brand covers your state, and our directory lists independent providers in every market.
Is Lasting Paws a good pet crematory?
Ratings in our directory range from 3.8 to 5.0 across the eight locations, with five at 4.5 or above -- so the honest answer is that it depends heavily on which facility handles your pet. That spread is the reason to read reviews for your specific branch rather than the brand. Ask the questions that determine your actual outcome: how the pet is identified and tracked, whether the cremation is private or partitioned, where it physically takes place, and how long the return takes.
Why does my vet only offer Lasting Paws?
Veterinary clinics generally contract with one pet aftercare provider, which is why a single brand is often the only option presented. You are not obliged to use it. You can arrange cremation directly with any licensed provider, including an independent one, and most clinics will release your pet to the provider you choose or hold them until pickup. Our guide to how vets handle pet cremation walks through that conversation.
