John has been extremely helpful and compassionate in the past. Scanlin helped my mom make arrangements for my brother. They were there for me to make decisions regarding my mother's arrangements. My aunt turned to them for one of my cousin's. When I learned that my daughter passed unexpectedly, on December 25, 2025, I can say that knowing Scanlin Cremation and Burial would be there to help me through this, brought comfort to me in the midst of unimaginable grief. I was so thankful that I already had good experiences with John Scanlin. He was amazing helping me through the most difficult thing that I have ever been faced with. I live in Oregon and my brother passed away in Washington. I went online to find a funeral home that offered cremation in Washington.
