The team at Metropolitan Funeral Services is wonderful. The building itself is very humble, tucked away in an industrial area of Alexandria. Don't let this fool you. Everyone I worked with there was on top of everything, working hard to ensure my loved one's remains were transported in a timely manner, and advising me on how to work through all the next steps I needed to figure out. Junior, Sharon, and Karen (the Funeral Director-Manager) were are all fantastic. Thank you to the team at Metropolitan!
The very best people
In route to Washington DC ARLINGTON nationalCemetery today I learned that a real id was required to enter the gate. I was traveling in the funeral coach with the casketed remains of a World War II veteran . I was at a loss As to what to do since, according to Arlington, there was no exception . lost to no exception & and Metropolitan came to mind. True to form & They answered my call with professionalism, kindness and a can do attitude! Karen and Dennis rerouted me to them and Eric ( real id in hand ) was waiting when I arrived to take the wheel and get us on property and allow BURLINGTONmy family to be served & I will always engage Metropolitan as they are categorically the best !!! Thank you Dennis, Eric and Karen !! - JP

How much does direct cremation cost at Metropolitan Funeral Services?
Metropolitan Funeral Services has not published a direct cremation price with us, so this page does not list one. Call +1 703-971-0806 and ask for the total price in writing before you agree to anything. The 7 Alexandria providers that do publish one list direct cremation from $1,375 to $4,100.

Call Metropolitan Funeral Services at +1 703-971-0806 and ask for their General Price List. Under the FTC Funeral Rule, any funeral provider must give you an itemized price list on request and must quote prices over the phone. Line the same items up across providers — the cremation fee, transportation, the basic container, filing the death certificate and certified copies — so you are comparing like with like.
Is this listing verified by Metropolitan Funeral Services?
No. This listing was compiled from public sources and has not been claimed by Metropolitan Funeral Services, so we cannot confirm the details with the business. Treat the prices and contact details on this page as a starting point and confirm them directly.
Can I get quotes from other Alexandria providers too?
Yes. We list 9 cremation providers in Alexandria, and the free quote form on this page goes to local providers, not only Metropolitan Funeral Services. Comparing at least three itemized quotes for the same service is the simplest way to tell whether a price is fair.
Prices, ratings and contact details on this page come from the listing we hold for Metropolitan Funeral Services and are refreshed periodically — confirm anything you are relying on directly with the provider.
