A big thank you to Dennis at Schmidt Funeral Home for taking such great care of my family at the time of my grandfather's passing. He seemed to have an innate understanding that attention-to-detail goes a long way during a time of grief. When my grandmother, mother, and I met with Dennis the day before the funeral to get everything planned, he greeted us at the door, introduced himself, and expressed heartfelt condolences. All of our shoulders dropped a little because we immediately felt like we'd be in good hands. During the meeting, he communicated the details clearly, kindly, and patiently, knowing this was a sensitive time. He worked efficiently to pull the funeral together last-minute, coordinating with vendors so that we wouldn't have to worry. My grandmother, especially, was so grateful that he made the planning of the funeral so smooth. We walked away feeling like we were doing something very special to honor my grandfather.
