We are from Canada. My parents were travelling in Oregon when my mom passed away suddenly with an aneurysm. State protocol required her to be transported from the highway to the nearest funeral home which was OHair and Wards. We drove 12 hours through the night to meet dad and say goodbye in the funeral home. We arrived completely frazzled, confused and devastated and having no idea what the next step was. We have never gone through anything like this We assumed it would be so complicated given we are Canadian. Robin met us with so much care and kindness. He explained everything and simplified the process by communicating directly with our insurance company. He prepared mom for viewing and even played a hymn which we requested as we said our final goodbye while still reeling over the sudden loss. He was honest. He never recommended any unnecessary charges. We felt like he understood our family values and beliefs. We left feeling relief and care.
