Floral Haven

Another beautiful Memorial Day weekend. Love how they honor those who have all for our Freedom.

My mom passed in Feb 2025 and asked to be cremated by Floral Haven. Our funeral director, Chelsea, made handling all of the arrangements so easy and answered all of our questions with patience and compassion. She and I connected immediately (I'm a Swiftie and noticed her wearing a Lover-themed cardigan so we bonded over that), and she asked lots of questions to try to get to know my mom's true personality and what she would have wanted from the funeral service. She encouraged us to bring sentimental objects from home to showcase my mom's hobbies and interests and we were able to set up a display for the service of her favorite book, album, giant poster boards of photos we'd collected, cookie cutters - all things that made it feel truly personal and a reflection of who my mom was. My mom wanted a celebration of life, not a doom and gloom affair, and Chelsea was vital in helping us achieve what actually did feel like a joyous, celebratory day in spite of all the tears shed.
