My family has been using Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home since 1977, when my grandmother passed, and for many other family members and family friends. Last month, my mother passed. It's hard enough to lose your last parent, but devastating to also lose your best friend. Russ was there from the very beginning, starting with picking her up, the consultation, to the very end at the cemetery. Russ has always been very kind, understanding, and compassionate in the worse time of your life. My parents paid for their funeral 40+ years ago, which I highly recommend, and will do so myself, when I talk to my sons. Doing that helps your grieving family immensely. inherited an American Flag that draped my Grandfathers casket in 1969. It was dirty and obviously neglected so I wanted to clean it up and place in a nice wooden display case with his information to honor both his service in WW I and the country he loved. The problem was I had none of the information to add. A public records search both governments and private produced nothing but a VISA bill. The cemetery had little info either but did have the name of Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home that handled the arraignments. I explained my project to Russ Eckard and not only was he able to help he had records of the funeral on file along with others as far back as 1929. Russ was kind enough to scan his file and send via e-mail later that day. I can see why three generation of my Family has used Eckard Baldwin in our time of grief, caring, professional and efficient, cant ask for anything more. I highly recommend Eckard Baldwin should the need arise, you wont be disappointed.

Russ and his entire staff were excellent when my mom passed away. From the gentlemen that came to get her, through the planning meeting, and especially the service; everyone was so professional and heartfelt.
