Excellent experience at Oehler Funeral Home in Des Plaines. Attended a family member's funeral that started late in the afternoon and went to early evening. Staff was very attentive and thoughtful. One of the guests had an accident and one staff person, turned out to be the funeral director, was very discreet and careful about getting what we needed for the guest to be comfortable. Tremendous professionalism. At the facilities everything was very clean and clearly well cared for. Very helpful to have a cloak room as well as prep area. I inadvertently left some very important items at the end of the funeral because I was absorbed with other responsibilities. I called the main line and got the answering service. But we also had the direct number for Julia Shim the funeral director, who is still at the facility wrapping up with her team. She was exceptionally helpful when she was reached. Thank you very much Oehler funeral family for the excellent service youve provided for Viloria Family last Dec 15, 2025. Were extremely satisfied from beginning to end. My dad, in 2016, had his service here too and it had been great too, and Henry Lee took care of it. He showed the catalogue, gave great advice and affordable prices. Now that its my moms time, so much has change with the new technology. Emily Bretscher was very thorough, very detailed and very patient with us. She took care of everything including the clergy. Kyle Wiegel did a great job with my moms favorite music, Elvis Presley, obituary proofs and moms photo. I am sure mommy was very happy in heaven. Emily and Kyle both took care of the photos. Mommy was perfect when we saw her for the last time. Thank you so much Emily and Kyle for your care and professionalism. It really meant a lot to us, Viloria Family. Oehler is highly recommended.

Julie Shim provided excellent service and support while making funeral arrangements for my mom. She was thoughtful in helping us make decisions during our family's difficult time.
