Without a doubt, Plaza Jewish is more than wonderful in many different ways. Greg Katz, Rachel and the rest of the team were always very kind and comforting during a very difficult time. Our father had a Pre-Pay Plan funeral with Plaza. However, because he lived in NJ for many, many years, we wanted it to be more convenient for his friends and our friends to attend, as we knew our dad would want them to attend. Plaza made it easy for us to find a funeral chapel near his home on the date we needed to have the funeral. The logistics with timing to get to the burial before the cemetery staff would be unavailable, were well planned and the day from beginning to end was seamless. The team was very patient with our many questions and always responded immediately. The "care" package they provided with documentation, information, acknowledgment cards, guest book and candles was so very helpful. I cant say enough good things about our experience with Plaza Jewish. From the beginning of the process, we were treated with kindness and sensitivity by Anthony. The staff went out of their way to listen to us and to take our needs seriously. They were patient, never rushed us, and explained every detail of a difficult process that most people dont understand until the need arises. We were drawn to Plaza Jewish because it is a non-profit, and that truly shows. There was no sense of being sold to  only dignified, thoughtful care for our family and what we needed. Gregory helped us create a memorial stone for my husband that truly honors him. He was exceptionally kind and understanding, and there was never any pressure or rush. He understood how much this meant to us and was endlessly patient and helpful throughout. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the caring treatment my family and I received during our time of incredible grief. Knowing that during such a sad and stressful time the entire staff at the Greenwich Village Funeral Home were able to make the process (and my many requests) easier which gave us peace and strength.

My mother passed away on Christmas eve, and while most people are planning for their evening festivities, the team at Greenwich Village Funeral home leapt into action to ensure my mother was taken care of and we were able to spend the rest of the evening with family. They both made the very stressful time very smooth and put me at ease. Their compassion and attention to detail is above anything you will experience. Jennifer helped me in June 2023, when my friend's mother passed and I was placed into the situation of having to take care of her funeral. She helped me through the process with an outstanding viewing and funeral. I then worked with Joel when my friend, a retired NYPD officer, passed in May 2024. He went above and beyond by calling the NYPD to have uniformed officers conduct the funeral of one of their fallen brothers. Both Jennifer and Joel have my full referral for any of your funeral needs they are the greatest!!

I lost my Mother about seven years ago and called Crestwood Company. Peter the owner answered the phone directly. One can imagine the mental state you go into when you lose a loved one. When you hear someone on the other side of the line just say five simple words "We got it from here." And they show up so quickly and prepared. Your mind and emotions have an immediate sense of support. You can take a sigh of relief and know you're not alone, you have a team of support behind you. The rest of the arrangements went on easy and without any problem. Why do I tell you this short story? because I recently lost my father. Without hesitation Crestwood was my first phone call.
