Outstanding!!! Above and Beyond experience of our service by ALEXIS....Funeral Home Director. Noone could be more accommodating, helpful, professional, user-friendly!!! Wonderful sense of humor, lovely personality, thorough and responsive through out our time with her, that by the way, she met with us on a moments notice. She turned our grief into a less heavy feeling: truly remarkable.
I had a sister pass away in July and I was in charge of handling her funeral arrangements. I live Pennsylvania, 300 miles away. Mahar funeral Home handled the arrangements. They were extremely helpful in a difficult time. In particular Alexis helped through the process, called me and emailed me many times. I would highly recommend Mahar Funeral Home
Just above and beyond all expectations!! Did a fabulous job and even sent a text to check up on me a few weeks later!!

Frequently Asked Questions About E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home
How much does direct cremation cost at E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home?
E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home has not published a direct cremation price with us, so this page does not list one. Call +1 802-442-2516 and ask for the total price in writing before you agree to anything.
How is E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home rated?
E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home is rated 4.6 out of 5 from 45 reviews. That rating and review count come from the provider’s public Google listing, not from Local Cremation Guide. A rating says nothing about price, so compare quotes as well as reviews.
Where is E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home located?
E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home is at 628 Main St, Bennington, VT 05201, and we list them under Bennington, Vermont. Cremation providers often collect from surrounding towns, hospitals and hospices as well, but coverage and any mileage charge vary — ask E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home whether they serve your address and what transportation is included in the price.
How do I get an itemized quote from E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home?
Call E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home at +1 802-442-2516 and ask for their General Price List. Under the FTC Funeral Rule, any funeral provider must give you an itemized price list on request and must quote prices over the phone. Line the same items up across providers — the cremation fee, transportation, the basic container, filing the death certificate and certified copies — so you are comparing like with like.
Is this listing verified by E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home?
No. This listing was compiled from public sources and has not been claimed by E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home, so we cannot confirm the details with the business. Treat the prices and contact details on this page as a starting point and confirm them directly.
Can I get quotes from other Bennington providers too?
Yes. We list 6 cremation providers in Bennington, and the free quote form on this page goes to local providers, not only E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home. Comparing at least three itemized quotes for the same service is the simplest way to tell whether a price is fair.
Prices, ratings and contact details on this page come from the listing we hold for E.P. Mahar & Son Funeral Home and are refreshed periodically — confirm anything you are relying on directly with the provider.
