My mother passed unexpectedly at home in January 2026. After the formality of first responders arriving and assessing the situation, a funeral home had to be called. Both sides of my family have used Johnson Funeral Home for over 65 years with each generational passing. So, who was I going to utilize? Johnson Funeral Home, of course. They were contacted late that Wednesday night around 11:00 pm or maybe later. Chad Thomas, the funeral director, and an assistant were there at the house promptly. They were courteous and patient with me as I was unprepared for the people and event that was happening before me.
