Thank you so much for all you do. Really appreciate y'all giving my mother-in-law a chance to have a few minutes to say goodbye to her partner of 25 years. This was an above and beyond service provided for us today and we really appreciate your compassion for her lost.
We were blessed with such a great staff in honoring our loved one. Thanks for your professionalism. The Family of Wesley E Smith Sr.
When my father in law passed away two years ago they were the very first funeral home we contacted. Mr. Steve was so kind and helpful. Now since my mother in law passed this year we contacted them again and they are wonderful and caring people. Could not ask for any better people to take care of her cremation services. Thank you guys so much

Frequently Asked Questions About Southern Mississippi Funeral Services
How much does direct cremation cost at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services?
Southern Mississippi Funeral Services lists direct cremation from $1,995 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. That is a listed starting price, not a quote. Ask for a written, itemized price list before paying — any funeral provider must give you one on request under the FTC Funeral Rule.
What cremation packages does Southern Mississippi Funeral Services list prices for?
Southern Mississippi Funeral Services publishes starting prices for direct cremation from $1,995, cremation with a memorial service from $5,670 and a full-service funeral with cremation from $8,020. What each package includes varies between providers, so ask for an itemized list of exactly what is and is not covered before comparing those figures with anyone else’s.
How is Southern Mississippi Funeral Services rated?
Southern Mississippi Funeral Services is rated 4.4 out of 5 from 18 reviews. That rating and review count come from the provider’s public Google listing, not from Local Cremation Guide. A rating says nothing about price, so compare quotes as well as reviews.
Where is Southern Mississippi Funeral Services located?
Southern Mississippi Funeral Services is at 6631 Washington Ave, Ocean Springs, MS 39564, and we list them under Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Cremation providers often collect from surrounding towns, hospitals and hospices as well, but coverage and any mileage charge vary — ask Southern Mississippi Funeral Services whether they serve your address and what transportation is included in the price.
How do I get an itemized quote from Southern Mississippi Funeral Services?
Call Southern Mississippi Funeral Services at +1 228-872-3637 and ask for their General Price List. Under the FTC Funeral Rule, any funeral provider must give you an itemized price list on request and must quote prices over the phone. Line the same items up across providers — the cremation fee, transportation, the basic container, filing the death certificate and certified copies — so you are comparing like with like.
Is this listing verified by Southern Mississippi Funeral Services?
No. This listing was compiled from public sources and has not been claimed by Southern Mississippi Funeral Services, so we cannot confirm the details with the business. Treat the prices and contact details on this page as a starting point and confirm them directly.
Can I get quotes from other Ocean Springs providers too?
Yes. We list 3 cremation providers in Ocean Springs, and the free quote form on this page goes to local providers, not only Southern Mississippi Funeral Services. Comparing at least three itemized quotes for the same service is the simplest way to tell whether a price is fair.
Prices, ratings and contact details on this page come from the listing we hold for Southern Mississippi Funeral Services and are refreshed periodically — confirm anything you are relying on directly with the provider.
