Scott and the staff at Baker Funeral Home went above and beyond that expected of a funeral service to lighten our burdens during the loss of our mother. Their facilities were a perfect setting to provide a space for her numerous friends and family members to honor her life. I would highly recommend Baker Funeral Home to anyone in need! Thank you so much, Scott, for all you did to provide for our family. It will not be forgotten.
Had the pleasure of having the Baker Funeral Home prepare the services for my Mother and they by far exceeded my expectations. We had a tight timeline of getting everything done due to weather moving in and family from out of town. We also had the struggles of having to move her across state lines which in itself proposed other obstacles in getting everything done in a timely manner. Mr Scott Haynes reached out and assured us that he was taking care of everything that we did not have to worry. Long story short we were able to host the services in 4 days with time to spare. Scott and his staff were very professional and communication and support was above a 5 star review. Highly recommend this facility and his staff. Thank you to the Haynes family for making this an easy process for me and my family.
Scott and Emma at Baker Funeral Home were extremely helpful, compassionate, considerate and pleasant to work with while planning my sisters arrangements. Scott thoroughly explained all options for the funeral services. I highly recommend Baker Funeral Home for their services.

Frequently Asked Questions About Baker Funeral Home
How much does direct cremation cost at Baker Funeral Home?
Baker Funeral Home has not published a direct cremation price with us, so this page does not list one. Call +1 225-775-1991 and ask for the total price in writing before you agree to anything.
What cremation packages does Baker Funeral Home list prices for?
Baker Funeral Home publishes starting prices for cremation with a memorial service from $7,130 and a full-service funeral with cremation from $8,995. What each package includes varies between providers, so ask for an itemized list of exactly what is and is not covered before comparing those figures with anyone else’s.
How is Baker Funeral Home rated?
Baker Funeral Home is rated 5.0 out of 5 from 87 reviews. That rating and review count come from the provider’s public Google listing, not from Local Cremation Guide. A rating says nothing about price, so compare quotes as well as reviews.
Where is Baker Funeral Home located?
Baker Funeral Home is at 6401 Groom Rd, Baker, LA 70714, and we list them under Baker, Louisiana. Cremation providers often collect from surrounding towns, hospitals and hospices as well, but coverage and any mileage charge vary — ask Baker Funeral Home whether they serve your address and what transportation is included in the price.
How do I get an itemized quote from Baker Funeral Home?
Call Baker Funeral Home at +1 225-775-1991 and ask for their General Price List. Under the FTC Funeral Rule, any funeral provider must give you an itemized price list on request and must quote prices over the phone. Line the same items up across providers — the cremation fee, transportation, the basic container, filing the death certificate and certified copies — so you are comparing like with like.
