We cannot adequately express how wonderful Stephanie, David, and Overman-Jones were when our mom recently passed away. Stephanie sat with my sister and I just two hours after getting the heartbreaking call that Mom had passed. She was so incredibly patient, kind, and genuinely compassionate as she gently guided us through the decisions and steps necessary to make the arrangements. She listened, suggested, and worked to plan a beautiful service that was exactly what our mom wanted. It was indeed perfect! And David showed the utmost respect and kindness as he escorted our mom to Overman-Jones later that morning. My sister and I sincerely thank them both. They are very special people who have answered a special calling. We will not hesitate to recommend Overman-Jones Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
They go above and beyond to treat you like family. Losing a loved one is never easy but they are there for you. From the first meet to traveling to the cemetery, the upmost respect and care was provided to us. I recommend this funeral home.
Had my mom's wake there. The staff was very helpful and very respectful.

Frequently Asked Questions About Overman Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services
How much does direct cremation cost at Overman Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services?
Overman Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services lists direct cremation from $2,290 in Plainfield, Illinois. That is a listed starting price, not a quote. Ask for a written, itemized price list before paying — any funeral provider must give you one on request under the FTC Funeral Rule.
What cremation packages does Overman Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services list prices for?
Overman Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services publishes starting prices for direct cremation from $2,290, cremation with a memorial service from $6,075 and a full-service funeral with cremation from $9,005. What each package includes varies between providers, so ask for an itemized list of exactly what is and is not covered before comparing those figures with anyone else’s.
How is Overman Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services rated?
Overman Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services is rated 4.9 out of 5 from 17 reviews. That rating and review count come from the provider’s public Google listing, not from Local Cremation Guide. A rating says nothing about price, so compare quotes as well as reviews.
Where is Overman Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services located?
Overman Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services is at 15219 Joliet Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544, and we list them under Plainfield, Illinois. Cremation providers often collect from surrounding towns, hospitals and hospices as well, but coverage and any mileage charge vary — ask Overman Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services whether they serve your address and what transportation is included in the price.
How do I get an itemized quote from Overman Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services?
Call Overman Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services at +1 815-436-9221 and ask for their General Price List. Under the FTC Funeral Rule, any funeral provider must give you an itemized price list on request and must quote prices over the phone. Line the same items up across providers — the cremation fee, transportation, the basic container, filing the death certificate and certified copies — so you are comparing like with like.
