Losing a loved one is never easy. Shorts took excellent care of our family during the whole process. Highly recommend to anyone close enough to use their services.
I truly never wanted to have to use a business like this, but I unfortunately lost my wife. I whole heartedly reccomend them. They helped out so much and are very professional, yet down to earth. I cannot thank the staff enough for all they did for us.
Truly a wonderful establishment. Very professional and understanding. Made a hard time way easier by taking care of everything for us. Thank you Hutton fam!!!

Frequently Asked Questions About Short's Funeral Chapel
How much does direct cremation cost at Short's Funeral Chapel?
Short's Funeral Chapel lists direct cremation from $1,895 in Moscow, Idaho. That is a listed starting price, not a quote. Ask for a written, itemized price list before paying — any funeral provider must give you one on request under the FTC Funeral Rule.
What cremation packages does Short's Funeral Chapel list prices for?
Short's Funeral Chapel publishes starting prices for direct cremation from $1,895, cremation with a memorial service from $5,585 and a full-service funeral with cremation from $7,835. What each package includes varies between providers, so ask for an itemized list of exactly what is and is not covered before comparing those figures with anyone else’s.
How is Short's Funeral Chapel rated?
Short's Funeral Chapel is rated 5.0 out of 5 from 5 reviews. That rating and review count come from the provider’s public Google listing, not from Local Cremation Guide. A rating says nothing about price, so compare quotes as well as reviews.
Where is Short's Funeral Chapel located?
Short's Funeral Chapel is at 1225 E 6th St, Moscow, ID 83843, and we list them under Moscow, Idaho. Cremation providers often collect from surrounding towns, hospitals and hospices as well, but coverage and any mileage charge vary — ask Short's Funeral Chapel whether they serve your address and what transportation is included in the price.
How do I get an itemized quote from Short's Funeral Chapel?
Call Short's Funeral Chapel at +1 208-882-4534 and ask for their General Price List. Under the FTC Funeral Rule, any funeral provider must give you an itemized price list on request and must quote prices over the phone. Line the same items up across providers — the cremation fee, transportation, the basic container, filing the death certificate and certified copies — so you are comparing like with like.
