Michael and Staff, Thank you so much for everything you did following the passing of our dad, Mervin Bommel. Your compassion and professionalism meant a great deal to our family during such a difficult time. Because of your care, we were able to say our goodbyes one last time before his cremation, and meeting with you to go over the final details was handled very smoothly. We truly appreciated how supportive and attentive you were throughout the entire process. Thank you again for making a challenging time a little easier for our family. Cindy Thompson Brenda Larson
Ernst was seriously the most kind and considerate place to have chosen for my fathers funeral arrangements. They really do walk you through everything and treat you like family. Their services dont just get the work done and leave it. They really do care. Highly, highly recommend.
Mathew and Michael and their staff were absolutely phenomenal helping us navigate the services for our son. No request was too difficult or out of their reach. They made the entire process very personal and were extremely patient. Everything was done with the class and respect one would expect for their loved one. Highly recommend this business for such a difficult need. 10/5 stars.

Frequently Asked Questions About Ernst Funeral Home & Cremation Services
How much does direct cremation cost at Ernst Funeral Home & Cremation Services?
Ernst Funeral Home & Cremation Services has not published a direct cremation price with us, so this page does not list one. Call +1 515-987-6881 and ask for the total price in writing before you agree to anything.
How is Ernst Funeral Home & Cremation Services rated?
Ernst Funeral Home & Cremation Services is rated 5.0 out of 5 from 59 reviews. That rating and review count come from the provider’s public Google listing, not from Local Cremation Guide. A rating says nothing about price, so compare quotes as well as reviews.
Where is Ernst Funeral Home & Cremation Services located?
Ernst Funeral Home & Cremation Services is at 80 NE Dartmoor Dr, Waukee, IA 50263, and we list them under Waukee, Iowa. Cremation providers often collect from surrounding towns, hospitals and hospices as well, but coverage and any mileage charge vary — ask Ernst Funeral Home & Cremation Services whether they serve your address and what transportation is included in the price.
How do I get an itemized quote from Ernst Funeral Home & Cremation Services?
Call Ernst Funeral Home & Cremation Services at +1 515-987-6881 and ask for their General Price List. Under the FTC Funeral Rule, any funeral provider must give you an itemized price list on request and must quote prices over the phone. Line the same items up across providers — the cremation fee, transportation, the basic container, filing the death certificate and certified copies — so you are comparing like with like.
Is this listing verified by Ernst Funeral Home & Cremation Services?
No. This listing was compiled from public sources and has not been claimed by Ernst Funeral Home & Cremation Services, so we cannot confirm the details with the business. Treat the prices and contact details on this page as a starting point and confirm them directly.
Can I get quotes from other Waukee providers too?
Yes. We list 2 cremation providers in Waukee, and the free quote form on this page goes to local providers, not only Ernst Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Comparing at least three itemized quotes for the same service is the simplest way to tell whether a price is fair.
Prices, ratings and contact details on this page come from the listing we hold for Ernst Funeral Home & Cremation Services and are refreshed periodically — confirm anything you are relying on directly with the provider.
