Ms Francine was the first person I contacted at Genesis. She explained the whole process and worked with me to see that my loved ones remains were properly dealt with. She was very caring and attentive, and I am very happy with their services.

I used Stewart Funeral Home, DC, in May 2025 for services for my husband and from the initial visit (reception) to the last, which was to pick up the death certificates, I have only positive things to report. The staff with whom I interacted--Mr. Lewis, Ms. Jackson, Ms. Rush, and Mr. Bowman--treated me with utmost respect, showed compassion, and were knowledgeable and capable in their respective roles. (I took note that the staff worked as a team.) Whenever I contacted the FH by telephone for any reason, I always received a pleasant greeting and felt valued. The family viewing, services at the church and cemetery all were carried out with dignity and well to my specifications and expectations. I never had to ask one question. or request any change. This was my first time using the services of Stewart Funeral Home and I highly recommend them for a quality, professional, first rate funeral for your loved one.

My husband and I had the privilege of serving a grieving family from our church at Stewarts recently, we were treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. The facilities were clean and well appointed, we were welcomed warmly. The funeral director Mr. Bowman was so attentive, cordial, sensitive and professional. The Team at Dunn and Son did a FANTASTIC JOB with the whole Funeral. On January 25, 2026 McGuire Funeral Services was the only one to answer our call during that epic snow/ice storm that resulted in SnowCrete 2026. They were professional and compassionate as they handled the cremation process for my mother. My parents pre-planned for the services of Joseph Gawler's Sons back in 2012. My mother went first and then my father just recently. I cannot tell you how easy it was to get everything done in a very stressful time in our life. Kevin led us through every step with ease. He basically handled everything. Any choices we had to make were simple. We didn't need to worry about a thing as I knew it would get done. On the day of the funeral Kevin, Carole and Lawrence were so helpful and comforting- right there if anything was needed. The next day at the burial Gawler's again guided us through. Even Gate of Heaven cemetery commented that Gawler's was indeed a very special Funeral Home to work with. I would highly recommend them.
