Alpha Society helped me during the most difficult time. I am very grateful to Wendy for making the process end smoothly. There were several challenges she helped me navigate, including delays in obtaining the required permits and delays in receiving the death certificates.
Recently our family has lost 2 beloved members. Because cremation was the choice for each, I recalled a service used by a friend 13 years previous, The Alpha Society. Our friend had a positive experience and now I am without a doubt able to recommend them also. This is exactly what we needed; Alpha is reliable, compassionate, and service oriented with their communication and follow through. The cost was very reasonable because they concentrate on one service only. No mortuary, funeral or memorial services. Precisely what we had needed. This is an example of their customer service. Following completion of cremation, I found myself needing changes in the original and additional death certificates. RubyRose remembered our family and was happy to do whatever was needed. Isn't that a comfort when one is lost in one's own grief? I hope that you will be comforted in your loss.
We've used Alpha Society twice in the past year, and we've been very satisfied with their service. They are prompt, responsive, and accommodating. We highly recommend them.

Frequently Asked Questions About The Alpha Society
How much does direct cremation cost at The Alpha Society?
The Alpha Society lists direct cremation from $695 in Burbank, California. That is a listed starting price, not a quote. Ask for a written, itemized price list before paying — any funeral provider must give you one on request under the FTC Funeral Rule.
What cremation packages does The Alpha Society list prices for?
The Alpha Society publishes starting prices for direct cremation from $695, cremation with a memorial service from $3,184 and a full-service funeral with cremation from $6,029. What each package includes varies between providers, so ask for an itemized list of exactly what is and is not covered before comparing those figures with anyone else’s.
How is The Alpha Society rated?
The Alpha Society is rated 4.8 out of 5 from 84 reviews. That rating and review count come from the provider’s public Google listing, not from Local Cremation Guide. A rating says nothing about price, so compare quotes as well as reviews.
Where is The Alpha Society located?
The Alpha Society is at 1713 W Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA 91506, and we list them under Burbank, California. Cremation providers often collect from surrounding towns, hospitals and hospices as well, but coverage and any mileage charge vary — ask The Alpha Society whether they serve your address and what transportation is included in the price.
How do I get an itemized quote from The Alpha Society?
Call The Alpha Society at +1 818-972-9194 and ask for their General Price List. Under the FTC Funeral Rule, any funeral provider must give you an itemized price list on request and must quote prices over the phone. Line the same items up across providers — the cremation fee, transportation, the basic container, filing the death certificate and certified copies — so you are comparing like with like.
