My family and I had a memorial service today, July 11, 2024, in the Chapel of Nelms Memorial Funeral Home. First, I want to say that all of the interactions with the people at the funeral home leading up to the service were excellent! I was able to do everything via phone and text with no problems. Second, the assistance provided by the staff during the service from beginning to end was exceptional! The entire process was so satisfying and seamless that I didnt even notice we were celebrating the life and passing of our beloved brother! Speaking on behalf of our family (Coleman), we thank the entire team at Nelms for everything they did for us! Our experience with this funeral home was great from the moment they were notified about the passing of my grandmother. They were very attentive and professional. Mrs. Terry carefully explained all of our options during the initial consultation. There was no question or request that was not attended to. Observing the initial removal our loved ones body, makeup application, interactions with reception staff and the execution of the service I truly feel that they truly operate from a place of compassion with a spirit of excellence. I appreciate what you all have done for my family on today.

I showed up at BERRYHILL looking like death warmed over after a six day hospital stay. Mr Berryhill didnt flinch at the sight of me. He was warm and gracious. We got the business done and as I was starting to leave he told me son just because we got this policy in place, it dont mean you have to be in a hurry to use it&get well and Im pulling for you. It was the just the humor and encouragement I needed to hear. Was a pleasure doing business with him.

Ms.Jackie Baker was an absolute pillar of strength for myself and my family as we were going through this entire process of losing our Mother. Her heartfelt prayers, words of encouragement of comfort, and calls lifted us. Whenever there were issues, she made it right with a smile and concern. Her patience and attention she gave did not go unnoticed. At the cemetery things became real to me. I had a complete melt down, and Ms. Baker held on to me so tightly. She walked me to the car, holding my hand. I can still hear her words even right now as my eyes are filling with tears You got this. Breathe! You got this. Breathe. This is more than acareer to her. I know in my heart that she really cares for people. This is who she is, and I felt that this entire time. Thank you Ms. Baker for being exactly who you are. Prior to my mothers passing, Spry Funeral Home provided the required services to prepare her body and flawlessly transferred my mom on her final flight from Alabama to California. When the receiving Funeral home in CA received my mother , they complimented how well Spry prepared my mom for open casket showing. I would like to commend the services provided by Huntsville Memorial Gardens and in particular Allyson Mote. While my family struggled with the abrupt loss of an entire branch of members and the internal chaos that can come from dealing with both sides of the grieving alongside the emotional toll of maintaining a focus on settling family affairs, Allyson Mote was not only a calming reassurance that everything possible would be done to meet the family needs to create a memorial site for our dearly departed, but she also provided a steady counsel for myself when I myself was frustrated and angry at times over the loss. A wise council and a compassionate ear was sorely needed and she didn't hesitate at any point to provide me with all the resources and went far beyond what was expected to ensure that my family has an enduring symbol for the family members we lost.
