We recently used Hazel Green Funeral Home after the passing of my dad, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Before going in, we had been warned by family and friends about negative experiences with other funeral homes, such as being upcharged or pressured into purchasing things during a very emotional time. That was not our experience at all with Hazel Green Funeral Home. Craig, the owner and funeral director, and his staff were incredibly kind, empathetic, and professional from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was comforting, with two sweet comfort dogs, and we were greeted with coffee, water, and cookies, which was a thoughtful touch. Craig made the process simple and stress free. We filled out a few forms, and he took care of nearly everything else. On the day of the funeral, everything went smoothly. They scanned over a hundred photos for us, organized them so we could take them home, and even placed billboards around town with the service information. Several peopl

I can't say enough good things about the people who make Hazel Green Funeral Home what it is. My father-in-law passed in early 2020, and through the grief and general chaos (though we knew his time was approaching), Craig Whisenant and the staff were helpful and accommodating. We "decorated" the visitation room with Alabama football, fishing, Sundrop, woodworking, and everything else my father-in-law loved. It was a wonderful time in an otherwise sad situation. My mother-in-law passed a little over a week ago. Just as sad of a time, but totally different. The staff (again I want to give Craig thanks) was so supportive, and we were walked through every step of her obituary, planning, etc. And there was a weather threat that was uncertain. Hazel Green Funeral Home worked with us - without any pressure at all - to make certain we could make adjustments to our schedule. We did, and we're grateful they were so accommodating. Truly Amazing People! Momma passed in December at home and arrangements had been made in advance through hospice but unfortunately we found out immediately afterwards that someone had dropped the ball and those arrangements could no longer be utilized. That is when these amazing people came through and literally saved the family even more pain then what we were already going through. As my grandchildren also live in the house it was important that things moved quickly and after a phone call with Susan at Hazel Green Funeral Home and explaining the situation, she had a couple of very kind young men to the house within the hour sparing the grandchildren and family from further pain and stress. I arrived shortly after at their facility and was greeted warmly, kindly, and sympathetically by Miss Susan who brought us to a private room to make the arrangements. Towards the end Craig the owner came in and spoke to us who was very kind and understanding of the situation. We finalized everythin
