My mother recently passed in Arizona, and her cremains arrived in the mail on Tuesday. The AZ mortuary told me they would be shipping them in a 'temporary urn'--I didn't realize that meant 'in a plastic bag inside a cardboard box' (Laurie at Lighthouse confirmed this is not up to standard). After trying several times to reach Lindquist in Yarmouth and never receiving a call back, I decided to try Lighthouse and Laurie told us to come on by. When my father and I arrived there she spent a good half hour explaining urn options to us and all the important things you don't know when you haven't been through this before. I was deeply impressed with her empathy and courtesy. We haven't actually done business with her yet, but when we do I doubt my opinion will change. That personal touch is SO important in this business, and it is a relief to work with professionals who take it seriously.
