When my nephew died unexpectantly, a friend of my sisters recommended Balboa Cremations. I can't express fully how fantastic they all were during this difficult time. They were easy to reach, communicative, and very empathetic. Jennifer took my numerous calls and was very understanding when complications with family took place. I would *highly* recommend.

My brother lived, and died, in La Jolla and I found myself trying to find out what to do from the UK. I was recommended Balboa Cremations by the hospitals department of decedent affairs and I am so glad I acted on that. Jennifer has been absolutely wonderful in helping me through the whole process and made it a lot easier than I feared. Because my brother had family and friends in 2 countries we decided to have his ashes put into 2 containers so that I could bring one back to England. It was really straightforward and Jennifer was happy to facilitate this. I can unreservedly recommend Balboa Cremations for their compassion and efficiency at such a difficult time.

Overall the people at Village Cremation were very easy to work with and accommodated my not knowing if I'd be coming back to San Diego to pick up ashes and death certificates or not. They sent me a scan of the death certificate as soon as they had it so that I didn't have to wait for the mailed copies. (This ensured that several annuities didn't deposit a payment after my mom's death that I'd have to reimburse.) My mom had a prepaid cremation, which was honored to the letter with no unexpected costs. There were a few minor hiccups. The official death certificate was delayed a few days as they had the wrong number for the doctor's fax. My mom had written down her Social Security Number incorrectly, and although I'd corrected that on their intake forms, the incorrect number still made it onto the working copy of the death certificate. They did correct that almost instantly when I noticed, and managed to submit the corrected information to the County Clerk the same day. I wish tha
